Sandwich Isle Bread Company. Chefs Kevin and Kay Cabrera run a truly wonderful bakery operation. Kevin decided he wanted to be able to bring his bread baking to the community, literally. That’s why he has a mobile wood-fired oven that he brings with him to local farmers markets every week, and it’s really awesome. The home page hero image, and the video on the home page were both done by the master videographer and photographer Ty Stuyvesant.

Nostalgic musings from an island girl. Sign of the Times. Sunset from Kohala Ranch. As a child growing up in 1950’s Honolulu, I did not contemplate the possibility of life outside of the immediate triangle of Kaimuki, Kapahulu and Waikiki.
