Many people enjoy the black and white drama of my linocuts, as well as the their subjects. Winter is this time I'm most likely to this very exacting medium. The sketch for each image is transferred to a block of thick linoleum, and I begin to carve, using a set of small Japanese wood-carving tools I bought in 1970.
