Wednesday, September 27, 2006. Ulan Bator, Ulaan Baatar, whatever. Just a quickie. I arrived this morning in Ulan Bator and found a crowd of 6 (including me) and we've been talking about doing a 2 week trip from here starting on friday. It would involve going to the Gobi desert to the south and to the central highlands to the west and north-west including the old trading post of Karakorum. Otherwise mostly just killing time here in Brasilia. The weather's generally hot (35ish) and super dry, although the rain is starting up now and serious rains last Friday coupled with hard, dry ground was a perfect recipe for floods, which we had in abundance. Here are some photos of Cordoba and surrounds. Of the Chinese toilet.

Thursday, December 28, 2006. It has been a roller coster ride! Professionally I have been stretched to think out of the box, wing it and deal with very 'special' staff. Emotionally I have been humbled, frustrated, elated and learnt that my patience can only be stretched so far. Friendship could be the most critical lesson I've learnt and am continuing to learn. Its beautiful and difficult all at once. You get a year's work experience and you get paid to do it - no more over burdened free student work!

Monday, February 26, 2007. Quest for knowledge nosedive. Fear grips me - corners me and asks "surely you should know what to do? After studying for four years I certainly don't know it all - the old saying "the more you know the more you realise how little you know" is oh so painfully true. It wrecks.
