Australian Birds Photography: KEUNEA PHOTOGRAPHY: Back to Sterling's Crossing

Australian Birds Photography: KEUNEA PHOTOGRAPHY. Saturday, August 23, 2014. Back to Sterling's Crossing. Over the last few months I have noticed more Sulphur-crested Cockatoos in the area than usual and they are in bigger flocks as well. Sulphur-crested Cockatoos are common throughout the area but are often seen in pairs and small flocks of less than 10. There are a couple of flocks of them in the area that have 30 to 50 individuals in them at present. Another Sulphur-crested Cockatoo from the flock.

Australian Birds Photography: KEUNEA PHOTOGRAPHY. Monday, December 24, 2012. From Coles Creek to the Lockyer Valley. Yesterday I had to go down to Ipswich to pick up a few things so I decided to make a day of it and drop in at a few spots and get some photos along the way. Due to such a distance in one day I didn't arrive at optimal times at many of the places but I was still pleased with the species I photographed. One of the Dollarbirds that roost near the house daily. Admittedly I was only there for a...

Australian Frogs Photography: KEUNEA PHOTOGRAPHY. Friday, June 28, 2013. Verreaux's Tree Frogs at My Coles Creek Property. After I was certain that it was a frog I rang a friend to help me look for it. We both looked for it very carefully and we managed to get a few recordings of its call and we got a few nice pictures as well. It was very slow moving when we found it, which was no surprise as it was quite cold the night we looked for it. Verreaux's Tree Frog from the left side. This is a recording of th...
