A Few of My Thoughts. Musings, mumblings and a few of my thoughts on TV and Film. Tuesday, 30 November 2010. Tonight saw the launch of new comedy talent Morgana Robinson's self titled show. Because Channel 4 have, in my opinion, had a string of successes with their comedy outings recently ( The Inbetweeners. The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret. But what about Andy and Lou from Little Britain. The only redeeming feature is her impressions; they are very well observed and benefit from being ti...

A Few of My Thoughts. Musings, mumblings and a few of my thoughts on TV and Film. Monday, 9 May 2011. Living on The Only Way is the Real Chelsea Shore. I can't speak for the entire viewing populating, but I find this type of programming quite emb...

A Few of My Thoughts. Musings, mumblings and a few of my thoughts on TV and Film. Tuesday, 7 June 2011. Who dares - but does it win? A Good Man Goes To War marks the end of this seven episode run, which has been a rather muddled and disjointed affair. After the epic Utah based opening two parter. The following episode - The Curse of the Black Spot. The fourth episode - The Doctor’s Wife. Part one - The Rebel Flesh. Took the award for best prosthetic makeup, but was empty and poorly paced yet again, meand...

A Few of My Thoughts. Musings, mumblings and a few of my thoughts on TV and Film. Saturday, 16 July 2011. When Russell T Davies made the decision to shake up the formula of. From 13 part ‘monster of the week’ to five part mini-series, the show turned from a somewhat tacky sci-fi drama in the shadow of its time-travelling older brother to an intelligent, stylish and thought provoking supernatural thriller. http://tellyboxblog.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
A Few of My Thoughts. Musings, mumblings and a few of my thoughts on TV and Film. Tuesday, 15 February 2011. It's not that grim up north, but is it commercially viable? M50 2HQ - a simple combination of six letters and digits that sends shivers down the spines of hundreds of TV executives. It’s the postcode for MediaCity UK - the British TV industry’s new Northern home. Well yes, we do. (Not that anyone watches it, but that’s beside the point). BBC have already stated that ‘. Both of these are brilliant ...

It's slightly old news at this point - but I thought I'd write a little about what I've read on Red Dwarf's return to the small screen, something which has become official at this point after Craig Charles let it slip on Real Radio last week. Who I really came to appreciate as time passed - and of course Norman's brilliance as Holly. I guess I could live with a return of Hattie, but a third actor as Holly would be disappointing to say the least. Six episodes seems the ...
