Importing or Buying – Horses in Baja
http://horsesinbaja.com/importing-or-buying
Importing your horse, or buying a horse in Mexico can be a little complicated, but worth it. I have not personally gone through the importing process yet, but will be sharing the experience in the future if I or someone else imports their horse. Buying a horse in Mexico is simpler, but you will definitely want to make sure to have him properly vetted before buying. You might also want to consider adopting a horse from one of the horse rescue centers in Mexico. Like us on Facebook! We Have New Horses!

Feeding – Horses in Baja
http://horsesinbaja.com/feeding
Feeding horses in Baja is not as tricky as it might seem at first thought. Much of Baja is desert, but this simply means that you will have to buy hay that has been shipped in. You can either make a deal to have some shipped down, or find a local person who already ships hay down to resell. Other adjustments to feed have to be made as well, such as adding bran and psyllium to feed to prevent sand colic. Fly repellant and Alfalfa. Like us on Facebook!
