Thin Man Sewing: July 2015
http://thinmansewing.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 30, 2015. I decided to make Simplicity 1286 with some twill material I bought from Fabric.com. Also, I decided to move straight on to the final product without making a muslin. I did this because none of the reviews online mentioned sizing issues. I did add four inches to the length. This is normal for me. I have been almost following the directions. I finished the pockets with french seams, used flat-fell seams on the inside leg, and finished the fly to my liking. So, the jury is still ou...

San Francisco Stitch Co.: November 2016
http://sanfranciscostitchco.blogspot.com/2016_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 24, 2016. So, of course, my previously mentioned rotator cuff repair pretty much totaled the fall sewing season! And I am still lamenting the fact that there's no Santa's Helper Club this year. Especially since those Santa's Helper's office samples made for some pretty nice Christmas gifts for friends and family. I may have to shop this year! But you won't bump into me out there today. And the answer is. "The Twelve Days of Christmas Winter Stitch-a-Long! In addition, to the beautiful ...

Adventures of the Thunderpaws Tribe. July 31, 2015. Life has been in some turmoil here at Chez Thunderpaws. Lots going on with my family. Prince Charmings. Pick up the phone. Dial. Now. Send a Tweet. Text. Message in a Bottle if that is your preferred venue. Hug your Honey: whoever or whatever they may be. San Francisco ...

Jalie 968: Basics | Thunderpaws Threads
https://szmusil.wordpress.com/2015/07/28/jalie-968-basics
Adventures of the Thunderpaws Tribe. July 28, 2015. What can be better to sew than a basic pair of jeans? Pretty much nothing, unless it’s a basic T-shirt. Or basic something else. And by basic, I mean a wardrobe staple that will get lots of use, using a Tried-And-True pattern that doesn’t require fitting, tweaking, muslins and the like. That’s what this Jalie pattern. Alas, now discontinued) has become for me. It’s my go-to whenever I just want to sew, and not think too much. Once again, Bobbi Bullard.
