Lurking on a webforum, people talking about webcomics - HELLO! Nick wolfe dot ca. Lurking on a webforum, people talking about webcomics. Aug 8th, 2009 02:02 pm. This is not the important interesting post I have been planning to write for some time now. But I lurkin' on the somethingawful forums and someone just said something REALLY GOOD about the critical response to things like webcomics, which are free and easy and nevertheless (or because) have dedicated fans with particular and high expectations.

Nick wolfe dot ca. Aug 16th, 2009 06:18 pm. So I just switched over to google reader from net newswire (because they turned off syncing and I lost my clippings) and decided it was time to Read Webcomics Via Feeds. What a fucking hassle tracking down the RSS links on all the comics I read! I mean, okay people who draw comics are designers in one sense but they are for the most part not remotely interface designers or layout designers. Neither am I, really: the most recent redesign of Name Removed.

Part i think four of a series - HELLO! Nick wolfe dot ca. Part i think four of a series. Aug 19th, 2006 11:21 pm. Cooking in the Intuitive Kitchen. With your host, Nick Wolfe. It's summertime and the living is easy, it might just be too hot to make the other dishes I've talked about for the most part. So here's something straightforward. Convention report - HELLO! Nick wolfe dot ca. May 9th, 2009 10:36 pm. I went to TCAF! Lisa and I waited in line to meet Paul Pope. He signed 100% for us, to both of us. We love Paul Pope. He's one of those people who understands that there is bones meat under the skin of a body and remembers to make things Grotesque Beautiful. I said "DO YOU REMEMBER ME? There was a signing like 10 years ago at the beguiling, him and Jay Stephens and I think Seth? No one's hands are steady enough. Do it.". It was so fun.

The sort of thing that people in their twenties enjoy. The Kanagawa Museum of Modern Literature. Natsume Sōseki Digital Literary Museum). 夏目漱石デジタル文学館) to the public. It's all in Japanese, but there's a lot of stuff there, scanned. Transcribed. For example, I can't find a way to link directly to it, but you want to know what Sōseki wrote on the inside flap of Sudermann's. There's also letters, seal imprints, art, and even "relics": Sōseki's fountain pen! The fifth Sōseki 1000-yen note ever printed! To spo...

The yakko in hiyayakko | No-sword
http://no-sword.jp/blog/2007/04/the_yakko_in_hiyayakko.html
Demanded that I explain. Asked me about the word hiyayakko. Specifically, the hiya. Part is obviously related to words like hieru. Become cold) and hiyasu. Make cold), but what about the yakko. I told him it was basically the same as yatsu. Meaning "guy" or "thing" (as the kanji suggests). But he pressed on: why would such a general word be applied only to tofu? I figured it was either that hiyayakko. Used to be used more generally, to mean "cold dish", and narrowed in meaning later; or that yakko. Were ...
