Saturday, June 11, 2011. So my baby turned 10 on Friday. I don't know how these things happen, but a part of me is happy about the change. As bitter sweet as it is to see Thomas grow up, it's also exciting. He has had more of a challenge reaching the same milestones as his peers (Autism Spectrum Disorder) but nothing seems to permanently hold him back. He is an amazing boy! Saturday, October 23, 2010. Pumpkin Pie for breakfast? Not quite. But it's the next best thing. With melt-in-your-mouth, homemade buttermilk syrup}. 1 1/4 C buttermilk (or sour cream). 4 T melted butter. 1 1/4 C flour. 1/2 tsp baking powder. 1/2 tsp baking soda. Mix all ingredients and cook on griddle. My mouth is watering just typing this. 1/2 tsp baking soda. Boil butter, sugar and buttermilk. Remove from heat. Add vanilla and baking soda. Stir. Pour over hot pancakes. And if you eat. This is Big R.

Thursday, February 3, 2011. I've been neglecting this blog! Here is a real quick catch-up! Miss H turned 6 months. Time is going so fast. She is now 18 lbs (my first baby under 20 lbs at this age), sitting up and eating solids. She loves music and grabbing everything in sight. She is also sleeping through the night which is just lovely. And lastly, our basement is coming along! We are all insulated, sheet rocked and painted!
