Whale Roads & Railroads: June 2013
http://whaleroadsandrailroads.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 21, 2013. I have a chair I have been working on for a few years now. It travels with us everywhere we travellers move. It has become a despised. Part of the family. That chair is still only partly refurbished, but I found this little £4 investment. In an estate sale stall on Thursday and couldn't let it be. I knew I could finish it in a day and proved that to be true. With a bit of the Annie Sloan. Paint and wax (I have been lusting. Tuesday, June 18, 2013. Of yards. yard sailing.

Whale Roads & Railroads: February 2012
http://whaleroadsandrailroads.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 26, 2012. I do believe the annual blooming of bulbs in February has got to be one of the greatest salvations from winter there is! I never appreciated flowers until I moved to England. Flowers have a greater responsibility here. They have to make up for that slacker, the sun. My garden is smaller this spring, but still doing the trick. Saturday, February 18, 2012. Croeso i Cymru/Welcome to Wales. Desiring to keep with the tradition of travelling to different countries for our anniversary.

Friday, October 4, 2013. Basking in the Braderie de Lille. After years of planning, my friend Min and I made the pilgrimage. To the holiest of holies of flea markets in Europe: Braderie de Lille. The journey rewarded us with more than we could have asked for including epiphany. Treasures, English china, picture frames and holy water fonts. Not to mention the delicious food and beautiful. Most importantly it gave us an escape from our every day lives to enjoy the kinder side. Which even I tried! Earl Grey...

Whale Roads & Railroads: London Reunion
http://whaleroadsandrailroads.blogspot.com/2014/09/london-reunion.html
Tuesday, June 10, 2014. My life has been incredibly. By the presence of many wonderful people. Amongst them I count two kids (and their parents) who I had the pleasure of sitting when I lived in Napa. Having abandoned them for England. Shortly after graduating from university it was an almighty shock and pleasure to see what incredible young people. They had turned into. London kindly showed her good side and gave us the perfect back drop for our reunion. Really live up to their name at the park cafe.

Whale Roads & Railroads: January 2013
http://whaleroadsandrailroads.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 14, 2013. This cold snap that's attacked England this week means I've been dreaming of spring. I finally asked Daniel to help me load some photos off my old blackberry from last year and found a jaunt my good friend Min and I took to Spitalfields Market. And the flower market on Columbia Road. Last spring in March or May time. Here's a look of some of the gems we found that day:. Enjoying a sip in the back of the shop while I considered just how many tea cups I would purchase. Only £...

Friday, June 6, 2014. Slightly more sophisticated boat. We're having an Indian. Summer again here on the South Coast. It was a busy one and now that the evenings are shorter and cooler I have more time indoors to remember some of the adventures of 2014. Whale Roads & Railroads: Ecclesiastical Excavations
http://whaleroadsandrailroads.blogspot.com/2014/09/ecclesiastical-excavations.html
Thursday, June 19, 2014. On occasion I get overwhelmed. With the almighty filth. Of a place and decide to take matters into my own hands. This was never more true than my intolerance of the pollution that had taken hold of the concrete surfaces of our little church. Power washer in tow I spent two days channelling the wrath of God. Against stains on the pavement. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Friends Buy Friends Cherries. House of Cards 2.13: Hail to the Cheat.
