We have been busy…. EDF Energy Learning Visit. November 16, 2015. November 16, 2015. On a grey overcast day we arrived at West Burton Power Station ready to find out about how electricity is generated. We began our day in the carbon neutral classroom with a safety talk and a schedule for our day. Half of the class toured the site with Jeff and Kev [ our guides ] while the other half did some hands-on learning in the interactive learning classroom. We had a great day and left buzzing with new knowledge!

We have been busy…. In response to feedback from staff, parents and children, KS2 have decided to review the homework that is sent out weekly. Teachers have been worried about the anxiety levels that literacy and particularly numeracy homework are having upon our children and parents. Spending all week chasing up your children to complete their written homework is not useful as it could be spent on doing something educational that they actually enjoy.
