Operating drones in high mountains. Maximum flight altitude is limited to 500 meters in DJI drones. When operating in mountains higher than that, one has to improvise and adapt to the situation to overcome this limitation. One of the feature of DJI drones is that when the drone lands and turns off power to the propellers, its base altitude is reset to 0 meters. The following is a ‘soft’ hack that exploits this feature.
