Friday, December 25, 2009. We've had a really nice Christmas. Children and family really make the season bright. Below are some pictures of our happenings! This was taken after Christmas Sunday in their Sunday-best. (Bryce was already in his comfy- coozy's. By the time I wanted to take the picture.) Good lookin. That Grandparents Mac gave us. Sunday, January 10, 2010. Bryce will turn 8 this year. He had his Baptism Preview tonight.and he came home just so happy and feeling special. I could just tell by the smile on his face that he was feeling really excited in that "spiritual excitement" kind of way. I'm so glad. Wanted it.he's wanted to prepare for baptism. I couldn't be more proud. This June/July, he'll be getting baptized and I really think he's as ready as he can be. I'm so proud of him (have I already said that? Matt and Sarah Wink.

Thursday, January 8, 2015. Crockpot Split Pea and Ham Soup. I love this recipe! This is my "go to" for pea soups. If you don't want ham in it, simply leave it out and add a little more salt (to taste). Very yummy! 1 ham hock or shank*. 1 onion, finely chopped. 2 carrots, diced. 1 stick of celery, finely diced. 500g dry split peas. 1 1/2 litres water. 1/4 tsp. ground pepper. 1 tsp salt (more to taste). 1 Chop all the ingredients and place in your crock pot. Thursday, January 8, 2015. Crockpot Split Pea and Ham Soup. I love this recipe! This is my "go to" for pea soups. If you don't want ham in it, simply leave it out and add a little more salt (to taste).
