A JOURNAL OF 3 E. Friday, 8 April 2011. A good friend wanted to bring her parents to my place for the TGIF Matthew party. She is very concerned about their salvation as they are quite old. When she brought up the matter to them, the father was willing but her mother refused. When she told me the news, we were both very disappointed. So I suggest we leave it to God but we pray hard. A JOURNAL OF 3 E. Sunday, 24 October 2010. Today I prayed "Dear Father, teach me humility. Show me how to humble myself.". After that I turned to read my Minute Meditations for Each Day and I was totally touched by what God teaches me in Luke 17:10 ' We are unprofitable servants. We have done no more than our duty.". The story of the two sisters in Luke 10:38-42 is very real to me - sibling rivalry! 1) What preconceived ideas (and even judgmental ones) did I have about these two sisters? 2) Do I relate more to Mary or Martha? 3) If I were a Martha, will I always remain a Martha? 4) How would I respond to Jesus when I asked Him"Lord, don't you care? A JOURNAL OF 3 E. Saturday, 22 January 2011. God is my helper. After getting a new DVD player, we proceeded to her house. But I did confess to her that I might not be able to do it. So another friend said."Let's commit this to God" And we gathered together to pray and ask the Lord to be our helper. I tried at first to fix it onto the TV in the hall. Nothing! While I was lying on the bed, I kept releasing this matter to God, even though I could still hear the pittter and patter of the rain against my window panes. God gave me peace and in no time I was sound alseep. I woke up early in the morning to a bright and sunny day! How could it be, except that the God of the universe has stopped the rain!
