Saturday, June 23. Today, Sarah and I went to Gyeongbokgung palace and then shopping and dinner near Ewha Womens' Uni (or E-dae). Here are some some new pics and some random ones I forgot to upload from before:. Some weird nachos Naomi and I ordered at the 10by10 bar last weekend. They came with whipped (not sour) cream and the chips had chicken and ketchup under the melted cheese. A cool statue in the subway. Me, drinking an iced Dunkin' Donuts. The throne room at the palace. Saturday, June 30. My sisters visited today and we had our first hour of time alone - NO TRANSLATOR! I made my pasta sauce (sooooo yummy! And they liked the spaghetti. We also went to Kyobo (they had never been! And then out for ice cream. It was fun just to be with the two of them (my mother was too sick to come today), and I might visit with just Young-Eun on Wednesday. I also had lunch with the Heley's today - and got all of my goodies from home - Laptop charger included! I had a really fun week!

Sunday, July 15. 24-hours with my sisters. I spent 24 hours with my sisters on Saturday-Sunday. It was possibly the most difficult day of my entire life. It was fun to have Joohyeon and her husband with us as translators for first 8 hours or so - we went to a game room in Sinchon, then headed to Gangnam to see HP 5 again! Im a Korean Adoptee doing the birth parents search, and I found your blog through In My Seoul blog. Can I ask a few questions for you since you found your birth family? The story so far:.

Tuesday, July 17. The flight was pretty smooth - Jenni and I made it home O.K. We didn't get to sit together, since I had booked my flight last minute, but it was good to have someone to hang out with in the airport and during the layover. Anyway, I might update this some more as the summer goes on, but for now, I'm back home and the search continues here in Minneapolis. And I'll be home in a little over 24-hours. Monday, July 2. Well, Sarah and I have officially eaten at Bennigan's. For those that aren't fully aware, American-style food is mad-expensive here in Korea. The average entree was in the W20,000 range (or about $20 USD). The service was pretty good though, I think they felt bad for us since we didn't speak such great Korean. Our waiter is most definitely my roommate's brother's Korean twin. Overall. it was a pretty good adventure, although a bit on the 비싼 side. Pics to come! View my complete profile.

Wednesday, July 4. My sisters, eating Baskin Robbins (chocolate chip, my favorite flavor! Bennigan's, the illustrated story:. Bennigan's at Seoul Station. My lunch (which could have fed about 8 people): Monte Cristo and fries (raspberry jam on the side,? Special" lemon drink (special meaning "fizzy" and with "half a lemon"), soup and bread. Sarah, looking like she's going to kill the crying children at the next table over. So, I miss her already, but I suppose I'll be seeing her again rather soonish.

Friday, June 29. I've been having TONS of fun this week - I spent a lot of time with my awesome housemates and Sarah, and did a little bit of exploring. I met a cool new housemate who only stayed for a night, but hopefully will be back later in my stay! Tonight a huge group of us went out for dinner. after a 2 hour ordeal of trying to meet up from random places around the city. The Free Trade Agreement went through today, and it caused protests in many neighborhoods. More pictures to come soon soon soon!

Thursday, May 31. Well, yesterday was my first full day in Seoul, and it was pretty great. I took the bus to Kyobo books (a HUGE bookstore) and pre-ordered a copy of Harry Potter. My Korean worked out O.K there, but not so well when I went to try and buy a pre-paid bus card. It's funny. Already, I've been mistaken for a native, and two boys on a motorcycle rode up to me and started asking for. I don't know, directions maybe? NICE to MEETING YOU! And the guys sort of shook their heads and walked away.
