Chimera 2, 2014. Digital image 188 cm x 104 cm. This series of works uses digital image manipulation to push past the constraint of physical reality, exploring further deconstructions of the chair. The pseudo reality of the photographic image blurs the line between fact and fiction, allowing the chair to unfold as a fanciful creature in an abstracted reality. Chimera 1, 2014. Mnemonic for Stone, 2015. A cut is made part way through a stone, a mirrored surface is inserted into the cut, bisecting the stone. The mirror creates an illusory counterpart to the visible half of the stone; it both curtails and completes it. The object seen in the photograph does not literally exist but is a moment in time and space, the geometry of light and surface. A fleeting viewpoint made permanent. Grey Areas, 2014. Three Giclée prints, 61 cm x 84 cm and audio loop. Grey Areas is a set of three images, each capturing a single possible reading of a reconstructed copy of. Fifty Shades of Grey. The images are accompanied by a set of overlapping audio clips taken from random readings of the deconstructed text. Ranging from a single word to a short sentence, when played in shuffle the audio becomes a continuous and infinite new text. Twenty by Fifty, 2014. Reconstructed book, 20 cm x 14 cm x 3 cm.
