Between the Lines: May 2007
http://melissalynn83.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 28, 2007. It's about that time. Tomorrow morning at 9am I'll be starting my eight hours of testing for the COMLEX step 1 (D.O. boards). I'm pretty freaked out, but I'm trying to calm myself down. Any prayers, good thoughts, and all that good stuff is much appreciated! One week after tomorrow I'm taking the USMLE step 1 (M.D. boards) and then I'm free.well, sort of. Then there's summer classes, and pretty much once rotations start they own me. :). But Step 1 will be over soon!

Saturday, May 24, 2008. You might work in the ER if. Discussing dismemberment over a gourmet meal seems perfectly normal to you…. You believe a good tape job will fix anything. You have the bladder capacity of five people. You can identify the positive teeth to tattoo ratio. Your idea of a good time is a full arrest at shift change. You find humor in other people's stupidity. You believe in aerial spraying of Prozac. You disbelieve 90% of what you are told and 75% of what you see. You believe that unspea...

Monday, May 19, 2008. My God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus."Philippians 4:19. In all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us."Romans 8:37. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you."John 15:7. All things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."Matthew 21:22. Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden, the God who is our salvation."Psalm 68:19. Some of my favorites.

Tuesday, March 27, 2007. OK, let me start this post by first apologizing for the string of negative posts there. I've had a rough last several days and I just vented on here. Thankfully things are starting to look up this week (and by this I mean no major events have happened yet) so I'm hopeful we can all start to move past a lot of these things. Thursday- Sunday are filled with classes and studying for the last repro "quiz", the repro path practical, and the repro final which are all next week. Friday ...

Monday, April 28, 2008. ER Tip Of the Day #1. In honor of the start of my ER rotation today, I'm beginning a new short series of posts entitled "ER Tip of the day." In these posts I will attempt to share various short bits of practical, every day wisdom with the rest of the world so people just like you can avoid potentially hazardous, ER-worthy situations. Consider this your warning. :-). Saturday, April 26, 2008. 9) Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work:. January- Inte...

Friday, April 20, 2007. Falling off the face of the earth. Although with boards so soon, it's doubtful! I finished my last med school section about two weeks ago; Reproductive was definitely NOT my favorite section. It really only served to convince me that a- I do not want to be an OB/GYN in a million years, and b- having kids is even more terrifying when you know what all actually happens/can go wrong! Really, how is this information going to help me be a better doctor? Speaking of the bane of my exist...

Between the Lines: November 2007
http://melissalynn83.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 2, 2007. OKI'm just really bad at updating on here. I'm sure only about 4 people read this anyway, but for the few of you that are interested, I'm really going to try to update this at least every once in a while. Since I haven't had much time to myself lately, this may just be the best way to catch up with the most people. I have so much to learn on this rotation and a lot that I'm sure I'll need to relearn, but I'm excited to start. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Some of my favorites.
