Friday, November 21, 2008. I have a new-found discovery on the joys of being a teacher.Thanksgiving break! I think I'm more excited than the kids! Even though I have to work in-service on Monday and half of Tuesday, this is my last day of classes for a week! I'm so excited.I almost couldn't sleep last night I was so excited! And this weekend is going to be a BLAST! Sister Sarah will be back from the Big Apple tomorrow night, and Brother Bear is getting to dress-out for the varsity football playoff game!

Monday, February 7, 2011. WW Chocolate Chocolate chip cookies. For the super bowl yesterday, we had a party of all super weight watchers recipes! Sounds super gross, right? Not, it was actually really good! We had tasty spinach dip, buffalo dip and celery, beef and chicken fajitas with low carb tortillas, guacamole, bean and rice casserole, and I made these little ww cookies (just 1 point each! They were quite tasty! 1/4 tsp baking soda. 1/2 cup dark brown sugar. 1/2 cup sugar (or splenda).

Monday, August 2, 2010. Dave, Callie and I went on a last minute vaca to Colorado last week to escape the wicked Texas heat! We had a blast together! A 12 hour drive to Denver, 4 days of fun, and a 12 hour drive back! There was something so special about taking our first family vacation together. We explored Breckenridge, Idaho Springs, Colorado Springs and Callie and I hit the outlet mall in Castlerock! I am so blessed to have such a sweet little family! I think it was 106 today?

Wednesday, August 4, 2010. Next week I have to go back to work! I can't believe how fast this summer has gone by! I'm less than thrilled to be leaving my daily routine of all day hanging out with Callie. But, I feel very blessed to have my husband, and two good friends keeping her during the week. Sunday, November 14, 2010. I ended my last post with "counting down to thanksgiving break", and it's here! One more week of school and then it's a week off for thanksgiving! The past few months have flown by! Going back to work was really hard, but I am blessed this year with the best kids, so sweet, and it's been a great year so far! And Callie has changed so much! She's had lots of firsts: first words, first foods, first Halloween (she was an owl), and lots of new tricks! She'll wise up soon enough!

Thursday, November 19, 2009. I can't believe I'm six months pregnant already! I went to see the doctor today and she totally freaked me out by saying I'd be in my third trimester by Christmas! I had NO idea how fast it would all go by! How amazing is it that only 5 1/2 months ago the baby was one single cell and now it has all it's fingers, toes, organs, facial features, and weighs a whole pound! It's such an incredible miracle! This Thanksgiving, I am more thankful than any other year! It made me so sad...

Monday, February 21, 2011. Best Valentine's Day I've ever had. I'm usually not a big Valentine's Day person.Maybe because I never really had many boyfriends, so I never had a "valentine" over the years until I started dating Dave. And even since then, I just don't get what the big deal is. But, this year, with Valentine's on a Monday (the hubs day off), I decided to take the day off and we could have a fun family day together! The first full day the three of us have spent together since Christmas break!
