May 8, 2011. As there are only a handful of weekends left in Catalunya, I’m trying to enjoy all of them to the fullest. This weekend was a great one and I was pretty much stuffed the whole time. The people here sure know how to eat and they eat very well! Then picked some lettuce to be used in the salads for lunch. Playing 21 (basketball) with the two men (and winning! Playing futbol, “eating” snails in the kid’s restaurant and visiting the gorgeous horses down the road. Laquo; All Aboard To Torino.

April 15, 2011. All Aboard To Torino. Flying over the Mediterranean Sea and seeing islands popping up everywhere was so cool! I hung out in the station for a while and really had to pee, but in order to use the services, .50 had to be paid. What? In a public train station? I got motivated and started walking, with no destination in sight, and the feeling I got when I caught my first glimpse of the Roman ruins was indescribable. Laquo; Spring is here to stay! February 20, 2011. The winter months in Catalunya seem to last forever when all I’m waiting for is warm enough weather to go hang out on the beach. I know the winters here are pretty tame compared to freezing temperatures and snow storms that Kansas and other parts of the U.S. receive but things are always much enjoyable with warmer weather. One great thing about the winter in Catalunya is the calçotada! Eating them is very messy, but it’s all part of the fun! Laquo; Island Getaway! On March 25, 2011.

May 18, 2011. There are many calas (coves) on the coast, some of them public and others private, including their own stairs coming down from huge mansions. I would love to own a summer-house on the coast someday! As we neared the end of our walk, we could see Cala Estreta, the cute little beach that we practically had all to ourselves. Although the water wasn’t exactly hot, I was determined to swim in the Mediterranean Sea and it was awesome! Laquo; Family Fun! As always, great pics. On May 18, 2011.
