Sarah Macleod - "Every Macleod has a silver lining": April 2012

http://sarahfionamacleod.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html

Sarah Macleod - "Every Macleod has a silver lining". Friday, 27 April 2012. Rain rain and more rain. It seems to have rained ever since I left St. Ives (well, on the last day when I was leaving it started - how lucky was I) and so I'm going to cheer myself up with a few more pictures. The last, I promise. This photo is taken from inside 'The Sloop'. Where I sat with a cider and bowl of soup. Wednesday, 25 April 2012. I thought this little chap was rather cute and he begged to be added in -. There was a B...

Sarah Macleod - "Every Macleod has a silver lining": June 2012

http://sarahfionamacleod.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html

Sarah Macleod - "Every Macleod has a silver lining". Sunday, 24 June 2012. Had some spare time when I felt like making something, so I found some bits and pieces and odd bits of leftover wire, and made pictures with the wire away from the background so that the shadows give a picture behind the picture, if you see what I mean. Anyway, this is what they came out like:. If they come your way - go and see them. How do they do it? Friday, 22 June 2012. Matthew Bourne's Early Adventures. Yes, this really IS f...

Sarah Macleod - "Every Macleod has a silver lining". Friday, 29 April 2011. William and Kate's wedding day. A very special day today for a certain Kate Middleton. Went to a party with friends and had lovely lunch in the garden, popping into the sitting room now and again to watch the wedding on the telly. The garden was full of birdseed, bunting and blossom. All the choirboys at the wedding looked angelic. Whoops, nearly forgot what the day was about. Labels: The Royal Wedding - and bun throwing. Off to ...

Sarah Macleod - "Every Macleod has a silver lining": July 2012

Sarah Macleod - "Every Macleod has a silver lining". Sunday, 15 July 2012. Wittenham Clumps - looking up. Closeup of the above, showing wing detail. The red kite was just begging to have its photograph taken. So I did. I like the first picture best, where you can see the detail of the pattern on its wings. Took these, then went home happy. Wittenham Clumps - looking down. He loves me not. He definitely loves me not. A smart ladybird in a glossy suit. And this pretty butterfly nestling in the glass.

three prosecco four: December 2009

http://3prosecco4.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html

Thursday, 17 December 2009. Il était une fois Playmobil. To celebrate the 35th anniversary of Playmobil, the Musée des Arts Decoratifs in Paris had this spectacular exhibition of some of the classics alongside a selection of the new ranges. We particularly like the Noah's Ark range, with the gorillas helping the elephants up the plank! Monday, 14 December 2009. A few pretty 'Jules et Jim'-esque pictures from a very cold and wintery Paris:. Sunday, 13 December 2009. Sunday, 6 December 2009. We'd been wond...

three prosecco four: February 2010

http://3prosecco4.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html

Wednesday, 17 February 2010. A famous dish in the Valdarno region of Tuscany, better than chicken or pigeon, or so he claims. It's casseroled in case you're interested. He has now been suspended following huge numbers of complaints, which is a real shame - we spent at least an hour last night wandering around San Lorenzo with a fishing net looking for dinner. Don't worry, that's not cat he's holding). For the full story (or The Times' version of it) look here. A campaign is sure to be started. Madness&#4...

three prosecco four: Yummy Sicily

http://3prosecco4.blogspot.com/2010/05/yummy-sicily.html

Friday, 21 May 2010. We both returned significantly heavier from our recent trip to Sicily - good job we got the train home instead of the plane! The man in the photo above is trying to roll Rachel's lunch into a pannino! For produce, nowhere in Italy can beat Sicily. The markets are simply overflowing with amazing things and all of the fruit and veg looks like it has been on steroids - zucchini as long as your arm! Here are a few of the best things that we ate. Cannoli in Palermo:. 1 July 2010 at 08:57.

Wednesday, 21 April 2010. At the weekend we finally got round to going to the Edward Hopper exhibition in town. It was a lovely exhibition with some great examples of Hopper's earlier work and lots of his preparatory sketches. One of my favourite things was the interactive section where Hopper sketches had been projected onto huge stacks of white paper so that you could make a copy of the sketch to take away with you. Below is my effort - I was pretty pleased with it! Tuesday, 20 April 2010.

three prosecco four: Sicilia: flowers and ruins

http://3prosecco4.blogspot.com/2010/05/sicilia-flowers-and-ruins.html

Wednesday, 12 May 2010. Sicilia: flowers and ruins. Here are a few snaps from our recent jaunt around Sicily. Having a car meant that not only did we get to lots of the more out of the way sites but we also now have a new found love of life - having seen it flash before our eyes on more than one occasion. First stop on our way out of Palermo was the magical temple at Segesta, thronged with tourists but still spectacularly isolated and covered in flowers. 16 May 2010 at 11:29. One city, tonnes of ham,.

three prosecco four: Gnocchi

http://3prosecco4.blogspot.com/2010/08/gnocchi.html

Sunday, 15 August 2010. We've been rushed off our feet recently, zooming between Naples, the UK and Turkey. Now we're back and the internet is bust in our flat. It's Ferragosto at the moment in Italy so everything is shut and everyone is at the seaside; in other words, we ain't going to get our modem fixed for a long time! In the meantime, however, we've been making lots of strange stuff. Home-made gnocchi for one:. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). One city, tonnes of ham,. Pigs; pugs; robots; romans.

Tuesday, 16 March 2010. Not only that, but the whole place is seriously stylish: above, the wall of chocolate moulds behind the bar; below, some more views of its labyrinthine corridors. Well worth a visit, especially with pasqua coming up! Thursday, 4 March 2010. Fare surf. a Roma? As if the beach at Ostia, on the coast closest to Rome, wasn't strange enough already (mainly in a sort of post-apocalyptic way):. Janet Ross and her meatballs. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). And if you haven't been on another planet for the last year then you'll know that loom band have literally taken over the world just like any good craze should. I have to say I love a good craze because it's great to see how it's builds and how it will, eventually fade away and become a distant memory - hey but not just yet! I hear you cry I have a million loom bands to make! What do you think? Have you had enough of the craze?
