golden girl gabs: Day 12 - Amsterdam to America
http://goldengirlgabs.blogspot.com/2013/03/day-12-amsterdam-to-america_27.html
Monday, March 25, 2013. Day 12 - Amsterdam to America. Monday, March 25th. We landed in Amsterdam at 530am local time (730am Africa time and 1130pm Alabama time). After breakfast at McDonalds and Starbucks, Shayna and I got pedicures at the XpresSpa in the airport. So nice to clean up our feet after the dirt of South Sudan! We sat around Starbucks for several hours and played games, journaled, discussed the week and used the Internet. A few comments about future plans and Four Corners work in South Sudan:.

Why Adopt? | The Chalk Family
https://chalkfamily.wordpress.com/why-adopt
Ethiopia, Here We Come! We have always talked about adopting at some point but had no idea what that might look like. There are so many reasons why we are choosing to do it now, so I will try to summarize some of those. In August 2009 I read the book. From Ashes to Africa. From Ashes to Africa. As well as David Platt’s sermon, “Father to the Fatherless”, to confirm that we were moving in the right direction. Why wouldn’t we do this? Only our God can redeem our trials in such a way as to push us further t...

Adopting a BOY | The Chalk Family
https://chalkfamily.wordpress.com/2011/05/07/adopting-a-boy
Ethiopia, Here We Come! 8220;What are little boys made of? Snips and snails, and puppy dogs tails. That’s what little boys are made of! This video makes me even more excited about our baby boy(s). Though we would like to have a girl in our family one day, God has put a boy on our hearts at this time. We don’t know all the reasons why, but we know He has promised to redeem what we have lost. And we CANNOT wait to meet our son(s)! Make sure to hit pause on my homepage music before playing the video :).

Hello 2012 | The Chalk Family
https://chalkfamily.wordpress.com/2012/01/09/hello-2012
Ethiopia, Here We Come! Time flies by and it creeps all at the same time. I turned 30 years old last month…where did the last decade go? I can name gift after gift. I mean, really, how can I complain about anything in my life? 2011 was good, not what I imagined, but good and in many ways so much more than I imagined. So glad I am not in control! How can that be? One Year Book of Hope. Kari Jobe’s song,. Only one name lasts forever. Only one fame stands alone. Only one King has an anthem. Praise, Praise t...

Ethiopia, Here We Come! Mother’s Day 2011. And my mother-in-law has given me one of life’s greatest gifts in raising my husband to be the kind, patient, intelligent, hard working, godly gentleman that he is. And she loves me like her own daughter. I have A LOT to be thankful for! But as I wait to see and know all the details, I pray and I send you, dear birth mother, all my love, hoping we will soon have the opportunity to embrace you and thank you for your courageous strength.
