Sarah Grantham – My New Zealand Adventures. On our last farm there are nine heifers in the group, and each one is put into the crush for Trevor to pregnancy test. A successful pregnancy test meant eight out of nine heifers were pregnant, and rough timescales were given, dependant on the development in the womb. The cattle were easily handled in a circular handling system incorporating a crush. We collected 12 samples and put them into a one dozen egg tray! These will then get sent to the vet to be looked...

Sarah Grantham – My New Zealand Adventures. This is where it all begins…. November 16, 2011. Hi, I’m Sarah Grantham. And I work for Masstock Arable in Ludlow. I was the winning entrant of the 1,500 Novartis/NFYFC Travel Scholarship. And am visiting three sheep stations in New Zealand. The aim of the scholarship is to learn more about how sheep producers in New Zealand control both ecto and endo parasites, and how they deal with anthelmintic resistance.
