ASSUMING you start at the Campo de Fiori, as I usually do, you head over to the bar next to the noname store and buy a 2 EURO PANINI. It will come to you soft and warm and the best ones involve tomato/basil or salami. CONE or cup in hand, you are now free to wander 4 or 5 blocks to the Pantheon FO' FREE and enjoy both your Gelato and that hyperfantastic building.

I think the part that got me most was the facial expression - it looks so harsh in reproductions, but in person it's so universally nondescript. Thinking, wondering, reflecting, considering.
