Qualified by Grace: February 2014

http://sarahkharkins.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html

Sunday, February 23, 2014. Verse 16: “Rejoice always”. This one hits hard. Jesus doesn’t say rejoice when you feel like it, or when things go our way, but ALWAYS. But what does rejoicing even look like? The dictionary says rejoicing is “to feel or show great joy or delight”. How is that possible? What about when we have those crummy days or when we’re sick or when people are driving us up the wall? Verse 17: “Pray continually”. Does that mean we walk around babbling like a lunatic? Nobody can be thankful...

http://sarahkharkins.blogspot.com/2014/03/sealed-with-kiss.html

Saturday, March 22, 2014. Sealed with a Kiss. This past week was busy, to say the least! Then, I decided to play along. So I kissed right back. Automatically, our friendship was sealed with a kiss and we became best pals. Throughout the rest of the week, M and I communicated through a series of puppy kisses mixed with funky body language. One day at the end of camp, M came up to me to give me a hug and said “I love you” IN ENGLISH! Labels: kids club; Senegal; missions; God; doubt; Jesus; English; Wolof.

Sunday, February 2, 2014. Like a Caged Bird. We made our first local friend! Yesterday we had lunch with her (that's how Senegalese show they care.they feed you) and today we had her over to our house for lunch. We had tacos because she'd never had American food before.and because all of us girls miss Mexican food like no other. But that's beside the point. So this friend of ours.we will call her A. Labels: caged bird; senegal; savior; muslim; jesus. February 2, 2014 at 3:58 PM. Praying for A and for you...

Sarah's Blog. | Welcome to my little corner of the internet.

September 9, 2016 · 5:34 am. Certain memories are haunting me lately. So I turn to this more public blog. Let me start off by saying that I have made massive. Leaps and bounds in recovering from the incessant emotional (and, at times, physical) bullying I faced in my past. I’m happy with where I am in life and how I have been able to move on. Here is the thing with that bullying that I’ve talked about; it all goes way. Honestly (this is where the wondering part factors in) did they not once. You think th...

Sarah in Nederland

Follow me for 5 months in Europe. Tuesday, December 21. The past few days Arnhem has been hit really hard with snow! If you don't have anywhere to be, it's really beautiful! I also wanted to post a picture of something I saw in the grocery store yesterday! I was so excited to see something from Wisconsin. I never see anything here from home, so I had to take a picture. Of course, it's cranberries! After walking around and running some errands yesterday, I had a dinner date with friends! Tomorrow I am goi...
