The House of L. Thursday, February 14, 2013. Little Quiet Book #2. This is the second little quiet book I made for a niece and nephew. This one was about colours. I think each page is self explanatory. I wanted to use a variety of colours and textures for each page. Some of the materials were very easy to sew. Others - not so much. But I did have fun trying to find enough material of each colour for the pages. And I liked the way it turned out. The back is the same for both books. Labels: Color quiet book.

The House of L. Thursday, November 1, 2012. I love Halloween. I'm not quite sure why. Possibly because it falls in the middle of Autumn, which is my favourite season, and the trees are still changing color. (Although here in Canada - we usually accommodate for snowsuits under our costumes due to unexpected snowfall! The House of L. Thursday, October 18, 2012. Happy Birthday to ME! Last summer, a couple of my sister-in-laws wanted to get together and do something "crafty". We decided to do this Happy Birthday Banner. It adds a ton of festive-ness to a birthday and all we have to do is blow up a couple of balloons to place around the room! I would go all out when my boys were little and decorate with themes (pirate, jungle, under the sea, etc.) and then stress when I couldn't get everything done before midnight!

The House of L. Saturday, February 18, 2012. Birds of a Feather? I was trying to find fun gifts for people this year that would use up some of my fabric stash. I came across THIS. And decided that it would be a perfect gift for my grandparents and my husband's grandma. I actually painted a front for me - but I ran out of steam after making all the Christmas gifts this year. A shameless pursuit of paper products. October 15, 2006. Guess what I'm doing? Typing this update while our daughter sleeps upstairs! We brought Ella Marie home Friday around 5 pm Yes, Drew drove all the way from the hospital in Doylestown to our home in Hilltown with the flashers on, and me in the back seat between Ella in her car seat and Declan in his booster seat.
