Lamb E Umptum: Back-to-school? Not for me!
http://lamb-e-umptum.blogspot.com/2015/08/back-to-school-not-for-me.html
Sunday, August 16, 2015. It has been a lovely, quiet week here on Parker Street. Green beans are in full harvest. I sprayed again for Japanese beetles. I am loving the fact that I have NOT had to attend all the before-school teacher orientation meetings that have been going on since Wednesday. I have been finishing up my quilts while watching movies with Elise - Wuthering Heights (boy, what a downer! And Jane Eyre (channeling the Bronte sisters). Here are my finished quilts! I know you are all gagging bu...

Lamb E Umptum: July 2015
http://lamb-e-umptum.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 26, 2015. This was supposed to be a short post because. Now that I am through with my travels, now that family visitors are gone, life gets kind of quiet and routine. And, I’m OK with that. Not that I didn’t love the other, mind you. The biggest “drama” of the week centered around Japanese Beetles. I thought that my early July spraying had rid my cherry trees, roses, beans, and grapevines of the horrible, voracious, pests. I guess I hadn’t counted on their offspring. Steven was my page turner.

Lamb E Umptum: January 2015

Sunday, January 25, 2015. Steve has joined the 4G smart phone world with a Samsung S4. He kept saying he was fine with his old Sarah hand-me-down semi-smart-phone but I accidentally knocked it off the dresser as it was charging and it was never the same so a new phone became a necessity. I think he likes is new device…. It is so strange that a four-day work week can seem so LONG but that is how this week has been. It feels like it was ages ago that we had Monday off for Martin Luther King’s birthday.

Sunday, July 27, 2014. Sometime around the beginning of June, my parents bought me my graduation gift: a Pentax K1000. 35mm camera (one of these days I'll use my GH2 to snap a cute pic of it in natural light. I got an awesome camera strap for it and want to show it off! And I have finally developed some of the film I used to take pictures with it. I'm still getting used to it and some of the pictures were a little wonky, but I managed to snap some GREAT photos with this little treasure of mine. A fun clu...

But I'll see my parents soon enough for my graduation in April and then hopefully I ca visit Missouri in the summer. For now, I'll admire all my photos I took and look forward to the festival next year! Happy St. Patricks Day (tomorrow)! I'll be making my first ever corned beef and I do love me some corned beef! Expressing Myself: November 2014

Sunday, November 23, 2014. I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas (Tree). Well, this year I put my foot down and said that now that we're in a more comfortable spot money-wise, I wanted my 6-foot white Christmas tree. Funny thing though is when we went to buy one, it cost the SAME AMOUNT as our weeny little 4.5-footer. So we got it without feeling guilty whatsoever. Here's Ryan getting the tree all set up and fluffing up the branches. I also did a lot of fluffing. The tree is all set up and mostly fluffed!

Sunday, July 26, 2015. Project 365, Days 197-203. Acai bowls are the perfect food on a hot summer evening. Happy half-birthday to me! Half a cupcake to celebrate the event ha! Finally made it up to Stewart Falls. Such a beautiful hike! Summer isn't complete without watermelon. Also, happy 200 days to me! Funny that my 200th picture was taken with my iPhone ha! Getting away to the country is sometimes what someone needs to rejuvenate the soul. Well, I've hit 200 days this past week! Sunday, July 19, 2015.

Expressing Myself: Project 365, Days 204-210

Sunday, August 2, 2015. Project 365, Days 204-210. My jade succulent has been doing poorly since our trip to Hawaii so I checked to see if it was still green at the base and sure enough it was! So I am seeing if I can resurrect it. Nothing like reading and laying out on a quilt on a mild summer day. Evening urban bike ride. Playing cards on a Sunday night. Ryan got a fun poster in the mail of a robot pirate fighting a zombie ninja riding a T-rex. He's such a boy ha! Jeanne, the mom and grandmom. Project ...

Sunday, August 30, 2015. Project 365, Days 232-238. My progress on my newest cross-stitching project. It's my favorite way to unwind from the day! Gotta clean my lenses. Dragonflies are one of the coolest bugs! I've been using Moleskine notebooks as my journal since I got married 4 years ago. The green one on top is my newest one and since I made the switch to Moleskine, I haven't looked back. Sprinklers kind of look like water fireworks. So that's it for this week! Tuesday, August 25, 2015. I made a fri...

Living the HI life. Life updates from the South Pacific paradise. Wednesday, May 13, 2009. Cry Me A River Part Two. I'm so happy to have gotten the response on the last post I did.I was hoping to, if only to get some books to add to my reading list. First, some responses to the comments left on the post:. Not at ALL at Harry Potter? Not even when Dumbledore died? Wow, you might be dead inside. Or just need to really find a book that opens up the tearducts for that particular medium. The episode of Buffy ...
