Sunday, September 26, 2010. How long has it been? I am returning to my blog after a long "vacation". My hope is to keep distant friends and family included in our latest news. Wednesday, October 22, 2008. The leaves are turning, the mornings are cool and cold season is in full swing. I am on my third cold since school started in September! Did I mention that I was going to be in costume too? It's been at least 20 years since I have dressed up for halloween.the things I get myself into! Here are some pictures from the last few weeks. Saturday, March 7, 2009. The Saddest Face Ever. Today Naomi woke up on the wrong side of the crib. She had fitfully napped for an hour while Carl and I worked on taxes. The combination of her hair and expression inspired the photo. Sunday, March 1, 2009. Naomi is finally getting enough hair to put in a barrett. Saturday, November 1, 2008. I have not dressed up for Halloween in years. My memories of the event are all fond, but somewhere along the line Halloween lost it's pizzazz. The holiday could come and go and there would hardly be a blip on my "event radar". However, now that we have Naomi, Halloween seems like a great idea. I can't pass up the opportunity to dress Naomi in a costume. So, with a trip to Goodwill and a couple of bucks, Naomi was renamed "Naomi the Lion". Did not go so well.

Wednesday, February 9, 2011. Nesting.to the "Nth" Degree. I also find an immense amount of fulfillment in sewing, quilting and "figuring out" online tutorials. I do not recall nesting like this with Naomi. This was mostly due to the fact that I was still teaching in the classroom and spent most of my energy there. Saturday, February 21, 2009. The Best of February. Here it is, almost March, and I am finally getting back to my blog! The weeks have blurred together with typical daily tasks. We managed a few trips to see my parents in GP and a weekend with Andy, Amanda and Annice in Oak Harbor, WA. The 6 hour drive was only do-able because we drove mostly at night.
