In awe of life. Wednesday, November 20, 2013. Caitlin has been waking up early these days - sometimes at 7am. We don't have a lock on her door because she mostly just comes into our room and wakes us up. But this morning, she decided to do something special. She went downstairs and made breakfast for everyone! Not only did she get the bread and peanut butter from the pantry, she attempted to cut the bread into diamonds (which didn't work out, so she ended up ripping it into pieces instead I suspect!

In awe of life. Sunday, October 20, 2013. While I washed dishes this morning, the kids coloured with a new set of washable Crayola markers. Adam usually uses crayons (for good reason) but I let him try these out for fun. He got my attention when he starting saying 'Mommy, eat! I came over and asked him why he ate the marker. he gave me a stone cold face that he didn't do it. Sure buddy. Then I looked at the name of the marker and burst out laughing. He's my Little Boy Blue alright! Fall at the Cottage.

In awe of life. Sunday, May 13, 2012. My parents stopped in on their way down from the cottage, so we were all able to wish grandma a Happy Mother's Day! We came and met them out front because they couldn't stay; it was so bright, Adam borrowed grandpa's big-brimmed hat :). He looked so cute! And he liked wearing it too - he was making silly noises back at us as we oohed and awed at him :). Once he saw them come downstairs, he realized we were about to leave. But I don't want to! I'll be teaching kindergarten, which is definately something new for me. Jacob is in his own "school" and isn't exactly loving it yet, but I'm told that he'll adjust and everything will be just fine.at least that's what I keep telling myself. So why do I teach? Learning to lean on my Maker through it all. Monday, June 15, 2009. I'm not really as bitter as I sound. Just found out that the government of Ontario is now taking 14-20 weeks to approve home studies. That went from the 6 weeks we were originally told. I suppose I've got to get used to things taking MUCH longer than I expect. The thought that comes to my mind when hearing this is: BALLS! Please excuse the rudeness.
