Thursday, January 7, 2010. The study abroad handbook that the International Programs office gives us has a whole section on re-integration and culture shock after returning home. But despite a few bumps here and there, I feel like I've had a pretty smooth time re-adjusting. (Besides the cold - I haven't gotten used to that yet at all! Sunday, August 16, 2009. First Week of Classes. So after that slightly terrifying first class I decided to check out some of the more basic courses. I went to quite a few but I think I'm going to end up with Quechua (one of the indigenous languages of Peru), Cinema, Peruvian Social Reality, and History of Peru until the 17th century focused on pre-hispanic societies. Wednesday, July 29, 2009. Most of you already know that a week from tomorrow I will be on my way to Lima, Peru to study there until the end of December. If you want to keep up with my adventures, this is where I'll be posting updates, photos, and anything else I want to share with family and friends back home.
