Sarah's Kitchen

Sunday, April 12, 2009. I was in a hurry, had a friend over and lunch time hit! So I had some bell peppers. Eggs and a little milk. I browned the onions, garlic and peppers. Made scrambled eggs with that. Added cheese to it. Spread mayo and horseradish on the bagel. Put the sprouts in the sandwich and the egg mixture. Add a little fresh spinach to it, sprinkled salt, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. It was quite a hit! Labels: Main Vegetarian Dish. I used the kind of tortillas you cook. 3 cups of rice.

Sarah's Kitchen: Whole Wheat Waffles

http://www.sarahscooking.blogspot.com/2008/09/whole-wheat-waffles.html

Tuesday, September 2, 2008. This is Betty Crocker's recipe for White Waffles. I convert it and do whatever sounds good. I make a whole bunch of it (4x the recipe) and freeze it for breakfasts for the kids. Buttermilk syrup handy also, that way, they can have a tasty start of the day. 2 cups of flour (sometimes I do half and half, sometimes whole wheat and sometimes totally white). 1/2 cup of melted butter or oil (I half it with apple sauce). 1 3/4 cup of milk. 1 Tbsp sugar (I use honey) 4 tsp baking power.

Sarah's Kitchen: Pennsylvania Style French Toast

http://www.sarahscooking.blogspot.com/2008/09/pennsylvania-style-french-toast.html

Tuesday, September 2, 2008. Pennsylvania Style French Toast. My friend Pearl is from Pennsylvania and as we were talking, she told me the French toast she grew up with is different. I asked how.and of course I had to try. We are hooked! You make your favorite pancake recipe or even use the instant mix. Add a bit more water to it, so it is a little runny. Add some cinnamon to it. Also, if you really want a filling meal, my sister in law does this for dinners.her family loves it and so does mine. So, with ...

Sarah's Kitchen: Bacon Potatoes

http://www.sarahscooking.blogspot.com/2008/09/bacon-potatoes.html

Saturday, September 20, 2008. 1 lb of bacon. About 1/3 of a 10 lb bag of red potatoes with skin. 1 Tbsp of garlic. Cut up bacon into small slices, brown them, add onions and garlic. Brown the potatoes, add the season salt and parsley and chives. Add just 1/4 cup of water and put a lid on the pan. Let it simmer. It is a great side dish for meat dishes. Or with a great salad and a vegetable. Sometimes I leave the bacon out. Also goes great with mushrooms. I love anything with bacon! View my complete profile.

Sarah's Kitchen: Fabulous Rolls

Sunday, September 21, 2008. My good friend Kalei from Texas gave me this recipe. I made it and we also adopted as one of our favorites. I tweeked a little bit, it made them fluffier, so.I hope you will enjoy it. 2/12 cups warm water. 2 Tbsp of yeast. 2 Tbsp of sugar. 2 Tbsp of oil. 3 1/2 cups of flour approximately (just add flour until the dough is not sticky. I use half and half white/wheat flour). Punch it down and knead or knead it again with the mixer. Serve it warm.hmmmmm, it is yummy! So, with tha...

Matt and Ashley Stapleton: Nagini

http://mattandashleysplace.blogspot.com/2011/11/nagini.html

Matt and Ashley Stapleton. Sunday, November 6, 2011. I'd like to introduce you to my new best friend. His name is Nagini. He's pretty darn cute. This is how I found him. Yep, that's right. Nagini was originally intended to be lunch for a Burmese Python. A rather large one at that - the picture doesn't do it justice. So we did the only thing we could do - we took an early lunch break and ran over to the house to rescue Nagini and hoped we weren't too late. While I reached into the tank to rescue the bunny...

Pass if forward kinda thing? I may even put up a real post about what's going on in life as a thank-you! Persuasion,...

Sarah's Cooking Capers. Adventures in Cooking with Foods I Love and Recipes I've Made. Potato Cubes Wrapped in Bacon. The boyfriend and I made this simple recipe for our St. Patty’s Day party and it was gone in minutes. I threw it on the appetizer table with a Spicy Sour Cream, while the boyfriend set out what remained of our Chipotle Mayonnaise. The mayo was a hit and was gone in seconds! I’m a sour cream junkie, so I ate that, but the majority of people there demolished the mayo. Prep Time: 20 minutes.
