Friday, August 25, 2006. The eternal run on sentence. Ian. One day I woke up at grandma and grandpa's house, and grandma took me to the potty and I made pee and poop in the potty and then I came out to the kitchen to see grandpa and I said 'Grandpa I made poop in the potty' and Grandpa said 'you did? I'm so proud of you! So Grandpa gave me an ice cream cone and I said, 'Can we go out on the porch and eat it? And Grandpa said 'yes we can. Sure we can! Posted by ftmomma @ 5:34 PM. Sunday, June 18, 2006. Posted by ftmomma @ 8:51 PM. Here is a conversation I had with Ian today, which I wrote in script form inside Matt's father's day card. Me: How do you feel about daddy Ian? Ian: I feel about love. Me: What is your favorite thing to do with daddy? Ian: I like to hug him! Me: What do you like best about daddy? Ian: I like his belly. Me: What do you want to tell daddy on Father's day? Ian: I want to give him a present! Posted by ftmomma @ 8:27 PM. View my complete profile.

Friday, April 07, 2006. Pre S There are updated pics in the gallery again. Why is it I can be so effective getting things done when I'm on my own with two kids, but if Matt is home and relaxing, I don't want to lift a finger! Favorite Ian quotes of late:. Mommy, you never never play in the car without mommy or daddy or grandma or grandpa. That's what grandpa says.". After driving his little toy car) "Grandpa, you never never get in my car without Ian.". Grandpa, you're a nice nice nice grandpa.". And on ...

Friday, July 28, 2006. Tonight we went to Cosi to see the Farm Days exhibit. Ian's favorite thing in the world is tractors/trucks/"diggers" so he was more than thrilled to get to climb in each and every tractor he saw. How fun! Pictures in the now functioning gallery - link on the right. Posted by ftmomma @ 6:27 PM. Tuesday, July 25, 2006. I think we should probably pare this down eventually (I doubt other kids in kindergarten will be expecting an all out parade for every bowel movement! Following a bath...

Sunday, May 28, 2006. Here is something that's been kicking around in my brain lately that actually does not directly have anything to do with my kids! There is an analogy that I was taught where I used to work, by our abstinence education teachers. (please don't stop reading if you disagree with abstinence-only sex education. I am not actually going to write on that subject here. but if you want to talk about it post a comment and I will gladly go there! Posted by ftmomma @ 6:35 PM. They do learn to eat...

Saturday, February 11, 2006. Childproof". yeah right. Here's the amazing thing: for some reason I now believe to be God's direction. the night before I had roughly counted the pills just thinking of when I would need to refill my prescription and buy more vitamins. So, the end of the story is no harm done. A call to poison control revealed that what I thought he'd taken wasn't going to cause a problem. And, the lesson gets repeated for the umpteenth time. "what do you put in your mouth Ian? God made that...

ftmomma: September 2006
http://ftmomma.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 20, 2006. I feel so strongly that I need to teach Ian how to behave well and to be a good brother to Caleb. Sometimes that goal blurs my vision of what to expect right now. Of course this lesson will be a long one to teach! Posted by ftmomma @ 6:51 PM. Tuesday, September 19, 2006. Has finally been updated! While having teeth brushed, "careful, there's a throat in there". Ian's Bible verses learned:. Psalm 150:6 "Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.". I already blogged abou...

Tuesday, December 27, 2005. So, praise God for easy access to health care! Posted by ftmomma @ 11:39 AM. My favorite quote from today: (Ian, while squeezing my leg in a big hug) "I'm just always lovin you mama". Some of our favorite gifts: a beautiful storybook for Caleb called "Room for a Little One" and two songbooks/CDs from one of our favorite children's authors, Sandra Boynton. We had Ian dancing to the Spin Doctors this morning with one of them - what fun! Posted by ftmomma @ 11:20 AM. Ian on the o...
