Theology Thoughts | Sarah's Journeys

American – Urban – Poor – White – Mennonite – Working – Mom. June 29, 2008. Posted by sarahsjourneys under Theo Thoughts. So, I’m a Christian. I kind of figure that I’m going to be on a life-long journey trying to figure out what the hell it means to be a Christian. Some days I feel like I’m on to something. Some days I’m so pissed off at God that I don’t want to believe. Most days I skate through faith, not really caring about my belief. Then God smacks me in the head and says “WAKE UP!

American – Urban – Poor – White – Mennonite – Working – Mom. July 11, 2008. Philadelphia Recycles, Kamikatsu goes ‘Zero Waste’. Posted by sarahsjourneys under Philadelphia. This week marked a wonderful addition to Philadelphia’s Recycling program… we can now recycle plastic drinking bottles, cardboard and paper in a commingled pick-up tray with the glass and cans. People were amazed. How will they be sorted? Won’t it be nice? Oh, and WHICH plastics can I recycle? 1 and 2 you say? WELL – as for me a...

American – Urban – Poor – White – Mennonite – Working – Mom. June 17, 2008. Posted by sarahsjourneys under Family. Loving your family, caring for your family, means loving them so much that you give EVERYTHING to them — while wishing you had more to give. This is where I write about the pain, joy, laughter and tears of having family. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Fill in your details below or click an icon to log in:. Proverbs | Sarah's Journeys

American – Urban – Poor – White – Mennonite – Working – Mom. The Book of Proverbs is like the Bumper of the Bible. It’s where all the short sayings go that would have been printed on the asses of the camels of the Ancient World… if only they’d had glue that would stick to fur. 8220;Perhaps there is wisdom here. Perhaps there is foolishness. I suspect that there is both.”. 8211; Sarah, 6/12/08. 8211; Kurt Vonnegut. 8211; Sarah, March 2007. Fun is good, and a sensation akin to joy…. 8211; Sarah, 2007.

Sarah's Journey
Monday, January 30, 2012. Hello to all of you wonderful readers. It has been a while since I have posted, and there is a reason for it. There have been some things within my life that have been a bit more difficult than I thought they would be, and therefore am needing to take a break from the hCG aspect of my day-to-day. This is just temporary, and I am asking for your prayers to help me keep myself in a place of right eating habits until I am ready to jump back into the swing of things. Here we are, an...

Joy in the Journey
Joy in the Journey. Monday, August 10, 2015. It is the last week of our Summer Vacation. Say what? This has been the fastest and most amazing summer and I don't want to let it go. We decided to take advantage of the time we have left and explore a place called 3 Bears Acres. It was pretty neat! There was a huge tree house that Blake liked to play on! We also made Aunt T come with us because she goes back to college on Friday. We just love her! Tuesday, August 4, 2015. Blake and I made little gifts for hi...

Family, Food, Faith, Fun. Acadia National Park – Part 2. Asymp; Leave a comment. Part of our plan for this trip was to NOT plan too much for the trip, giving us flexibility to spend as much or little time as we wanted in any particular region of the coast. Desiring more time in Acadia, we were able to find a little cottage on the quiet side of the island to spend a couple more nights. We checked into our new digs before continuing our adventures.
