Pre-op appointments… aka This is really happening! August 21, 2015. Then I had to go over to the other office for my pre and post-op nutrition counselling, but I got there super early and decided to do the MedGem and BodPod tests to kill time! The MedGem is a way to measure your resting metabolic rate based on how much oxygen you use. The test today says my RMR is 2180, so assuming I’m eating 500-600 calories for the first few months, I should probably average about 3lbs per week gone! We then move on to...

We took off for a couple of days with the kids. On Sunday, we met my college roommate Amy in Terre Haute, Indiana, for lunch. It was a short visit, but it was good to see her.
