Thoughts from Ghanzi

The San of the Kalahari. Work - San Arts and Crafts. School - International Development. Thursday, March 29, 2012. I recently returned from a trip to Lilongwe, Malawi and thought it best to write about the week. This is especially important as Malawi is another placement country for students in International Development and as I went to visit another INDEV student it should give you a snapshot into what the last 7 months have been like for her :). Most of Malawi looks like this :). Tailors at the camp.

Thoughts from Ghanzi: What More Can be Done?

http://www.sarahvoegeli.blogspot.com/2012/03/what-more-can-be-done.html

The San of the Kalahari. Work - San Arts and Crafts. School - International Development. Monday, March 5, 2012. What More Can be Done? Botswana also became the first nation worldwide to offer free ARV drugs to every affected citizen in 2002. An annual $21 million spent on ARV drugs in Botswana means that more than 300,000 Batswana have access to life saving drugs and treatments designed to manage the disease. The question garnering attention remains however, why is HIV/AIDS still a problem in Botswana?

Thoughts from Ghanzi: December 2011

http://www.sarahvoegeli.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html

The San of the Kalahari. Work - San Arts and Crafts. School - International Development. Wednesday, December 28, 2011. Hello from South Africa! So our trip from Ghanzi to Johannesburg was as eventful as it could be I suppose. We had to catch the bus from Ghanzi to Gaborone at 5:00am which was unfortunate, but to our surprise it was a fantastically air conditioned bus! Right now I'm just waiting for my friend, the one and only Jessica Marie Krushnisky, to arrive and then I guess we'll start this holiday :).
