I have seen my own highs and lows through climbing to the highest point on my favorite building downtown and sitting in the silence of a brief, unwarranted and unwanted clarity. I have traced the slants of arms pulled tight around me and calculated the angle at which they were bent so I could know exactly if I’d ever see anything like it again. I have felt vulnerable at the sound of my voice and the movement of my body.

Thursday, August 28, 2008. Tuesday, August 5, 2008. So there has been a lot of big questions about the women racing X Games. Was it exciting? Of course, was it scary as hell? I know a couple of the girls had more practice on a real supercross. Track than the rest of us, I personally had three days. That's. About two months and 27 days shy of what the average guy spends before Anaheim. I felt completely out of my element, which I am sure it was obvious to see by observing me. For I loved riding supercross.
