http://weavethings.blogspot.com/2011/09/end-of-summer-hibernation.html
Friday, September 2, 2011. The End of Summer Hibernation. My summer hibernation is coming to a halt. And what a mess I've made of the studio over the summer. Cleaning, cleaning - it won't be long. But in the meantime, here is something new. Something else I love to do is cook. Here is some "Pain a l'Ancienne" - from " The Bread Baker's Apprentice - Mastering the Art of Extraordinary Bread. A Very Wet Dough. This Came Out Wonderful. With Butter and Jam. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Crazy As A Loom.

Tuesday, September 13, 2011. The Glaze Was A Little Runny. Pumpkin Blueberry Pound Cake - Right Out Of The Oven. I got this recipe from a fellow weaver who lives in upstate New York. Hilary, of Crazy As A Loom. I just found the recipe today and swore that I'd hit the store and get the ingredients that I didn't already have. And, I did! Waiting For It To "Cool Completely" Before Topping With Glaze! I'll post more pics once it's cool and has a coating of glaze. Hilary was right. It's Yummy! DB = Dark Brown.

WeaveThings: June 2010
http://weavethings.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 4, 2010. I recently found out that my good friend and former manager, Melissa Andretta, will be in town from cheery ol' London. She asked me for an acid green scarf, with blue and red stripes, a long time ago. A long time ago, I purchased the yarn and wound the warp. It's been sitting on the shelf ever since. I'll be meeting with her on 9 July 2010, with a gift! Must weave. scarf. All wound on the warping board. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Thursday, November 27, 2014. Before the Food Coma. Thanksgiving here in the US seems to be all about excess. For most humans - even males - one Thanksgiving dinner on the day is sufficient, although due to various family configurations with their attendant obligations, many people will bravely attempt to consume more than one. Cats just don't get it. They would rather sit in boxes than try to figure it out. I think I'm ready to tackle the rest of the food prep. Links to this post. It's not even slightly ...

Sunday, October 26, 2014. The Routine of the Head. All living things are one way or another creatures of habit. Plants expect sunlight followed by darkness, appropriate water and temperatures, lack of pests, and then they thrive. My cats earnestly desire to be fed upon waking and a snack sometime around bedtime, and protest loudly if this is not forthcoming. I'm back now though. First I made a rhombic dodecahedron. It seemed like a good idea and it's an interesting shape with a nice flat back and front, ...
