Friday, March 26, 2010. It’s official. We can’t go back now, right? We have had the mildest winter I can remember, since moving here in 1979. No snow – which was a bummer for the kids, but no huge storms or RAIN for that matter. (I didn’t just jinx it, did I? We had one extremely cold week, reaching the single digits, but other than that – mild. It made you anxious for Spring. For flowers and fresh cut grass. For flip flops and capris. Bring. It. ON! Monday, March 23, 2009. We had to sell the blue Ghia and that makes me sad. I had such HIGH hopes for her. Found her in a field and saved her from the crusher and all. But she had waaaay tooooo much. To be salvaged. By us or anyone else. She's going to be a parts car. And I'm positive she'll be the best at it. Bon Voyage Blue, I'll miss ya. That was done to her from 1991 to present. Wednesday, May 27, 2009. I dropped Cole off at school yesterday morning, came home and sat on the walkway to play with Bugsy (the cat), but she was too busy 'hunting' squirrels. Thursday, April 30, 2009. Fishin' with the kiddos. Since it was such a nice weekend - and a BUSY one, at that - we took advantage of Opening Day for Fishing and headed out to American Lake. Not Shawn's first choice for lakes to fish on, but considering the time frame we had to work with, it was just the easiest. We didn't catch anything major. Sunday, October 25, 2009. Football and Youth Symphony. I have been up to my eyeballs in kid-stuff. Should I be complaining? We only have one full time and the other on the weekends. I know some of you have 2, 3 and 4 kids - ALL the time! I give you props. HUGE props. Cole is in Flag Football, which means practice twice a week, from 5:30 - 7:00pm. Then a game every Saturday. Anna - I praise her, she is SUCH a good kid! Auditioned and was accepted into the TACOMA YOUTH SYMPHONY! Cole running the ball.
