Find a visual communication design issue where design can help solve communicate to an audience. With a personal interest in health and nutrition, I realized that reading and understanding nutrition labels is very important when trying to stay healthy. I discovered that the current label are hard to understand for many consumers. My research showed that some consumers do not even bother looking at the label because they find it too complicated to understand.

Design a record cover, sleeve and vinyl label for a re-release of an album. This design featured Nirvana's In Utero album and was marked as a limited edition since it was designed in the year of its 20th anniversary. The design is representative of the grunge music style while still possessing a 'beautiful' aspect. Kurt Cobain, the lead singer, found special interest in anatomy, birth and death, which helped to influence the design of this album.

Woods laser cut paper, ink, gouache, graphite, gel pen, color pencil, acrylic on paper 15" x 14 " 2015. I make pictures that satisfy my curiosity in aesthetics and found materials. Combining these articles with reappropriations of my own work allows me to employ past patterns and marks as prompts for new structures and environments. The aggressive process used to construct these secretive spaces is kept in balance with the consciousness to know when to stop.
