APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN FOR FARE WEEKS GRANTS. Applications are now open for Football Against Racism Europe (FARE) Action Weeks Small Grants. These grants are designed to offer seed funding to grassroots organisations such as supporters groups, community groups, NGOs and activists to help them run activities in their community, stadium, town or city during the Football People action weeks in October. The maximum funding through the Small Grants is €500. The deadline for applications is 6th September.

SARI SOCCERNITES TEAM WINS EID WORLD CUP. Last weekend marked the second annual EID World Cup supported by Sport Against Racism Ireland and Islamic Relief. The event was about bringing people together through football, but it was also about supporting an important cause. All funds raised by the event were donated to the people of Nepal, still struggling in the wake of the devastating April earthquake. The event raised over 1,000 for the cause.

2015 RANJI TROPHY A SUCCESS. This past Saturday the 2015 Ranji Trophy tournament was played at the Malahide Cricket Grounds. The day was filled with cricket and fun for everyone who participated in the annual event. The event was won by a team, from the local television company, Real TV from Adamstown. Other teams in attendance included global companies such as Google, Intel, and Microsoft. The event was supported by Sport Against Racism Ireland.

SARI's HIJABS AND HAT-TRICKS PROJECT SHORT LISTED FOR BEYOND SPORT AWARDS. SARI are honored to have been short listed for the Beyond Sport Awards 2015 for the 'Hijabs and Hat-tricks' project which was started by SARI Young Leaders Abdul Hajji, Abdul Abdullah and Azeez Yusuff in 2014 to encourage more Muslim women and girls to play football. SARI are supporting the EID World Cup which will take place at the Law Society, Blackhall Place, Dublin 7 on Sunday 28th August.
