David Charles Manners is co-founder of a registered charity, Sarvashubhamkara, its Sanskrit name meaning 'he who does good to all'. For ease of pronunciation outside India, the abbreviated name of Sarva is used. With no political or religious affiliations, Sarva seeks out and undertakes small-scale medical, educational and social welfare projects amongst the most underprivileged and disenfranchised people of the Indian subcontinent. Many recipients of Sarva's work are affected by the stigma of leprosy.

He who does good to all". We are a small organisation working with the 'forgotten people' of the Indian subcontinent. The relief of poverty, sickness and distress of those in need and to advance the education of children and young people in India and Nepal, including the award of scholarships and bursaries. Sarva undertakes small-scale projects amongst the most underprivileged and disenfranchised people of India. The Sarva Education Fund provides financial support to students excluded from state education.
