Monday, January 25, 2010. Meeting Lee and Lorraine. 15 weeks reached today and it was off to our first midwife and obstetric appointment. It's a bit strange being on the other side of the wall, so to speak. All the paperwork I've flicked through for years in my work in obstetrics/gynae, and it's now for me. All the obstetric/midwife notes I generally flick over in order to get to partograms and clinical pathways during labour - I now have my very own set. Links to this post. Sunday, January 24, 2010.

Sunday, March 7, 2010. Weddings and Weekends Away. The weekend after we got home from Melbourne, my cousin Kirsten got married. Being a late-ish wedding we decided we'd stay up at Maleny for the night and booked in to a beautiful "Anne of Green Gables" style B&B. The wedding was beautiful, Kirsten looked stunning and apparently I didn't scrub up too bad myself. It was lovely to catch up with the extended family once more! My mum and I. The terrible trio (Abeje's in there somewhere! Life as we know it.

I don't have many girl friends, and those I do have tend to either be right in the middle of nappy season, or have left the country for far off fields like Zimbabwe! But last night was different. Monday, April 27, 2009. They are very exited about this and the fact that they have finaly moved into thier house. If you go to the Vana web site www.vana.org.au. You should be able to see the three existing houses, one of which is theirs for the next year. They now feel that the hard work in getting their is begining to pay off. So we have arrived in Jo'burg but as most things go for us it was not without an 'event' our friend Emanual was supposed to collect us at 9:45am to take us to the airport however at 11am we were still waiting and disovered his car had been impounded by the police. thankfully were prepared for something to go wrong and had given ourselves LOTS of time and we managed to get to the airport in time.
