bag of threads: peacock ready
http://bagofthreads.blogspot.com/2015/02/peacock-ready.html
Monday, 16 February 2015. It took me much longer than I had anticipated. I changed colours a few times along the way. I had more mirrors to attach. I took this picture just after sunset so the colours are not quite right. Maybe I'll post another one in the next few days. Also, I hope that in a few weeks, when I'm a little less busy, I'll be able to review the wonderful book that inspired this piece. Posted by Liana D. 19 May 2015 at 13:33. 23 May 2015 at 07:18. bag of threads: on to side 2..
http://bagofthreads.blogspot.com/2016/01/on-to-side-2.html
Tuesday, 19 January 2016. On to side 2. Sometimes it's good to go back and retrace your steps. Even if all you want is to follow the same route. I've still got a few corrections to make to the peacock, but I'm glad to be starting on side 2 of another one of my drawstring bags. This time, though, I'm doing it the Indian way: no hoop, just an additional layer of fabric. Hard to keep the tension right. Posted by Liana D. 20 April 2016 at 03:04. Cara Pemesanan Ace Maxs. bag of threads: About
http://bagofthreads.blogspot.com/p/originally-from-rio-de-janeiro-brazil.html
Attending workshops on Indian and Central Asian embroidery was the spur that made me start stitching. Ethnic textiles were my first interest, and now folk art, Eastern European and Scandinavian embroideries figure among my sources of inspiration - for their beautiful and bold use of colour, precise stitching, and amazing ability to explore patterns in beautiful designs. 6 July 2014 at 19:39. bag of threads: January 2015
http://bagofthreads.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, 17 January 2015. New project in the pipeline. It's a little bit worrying, but it's been nearly two months or so now with hardly any rain. Considering that from May to October it rarely rains here we do need those wintry downpours. But on the other hand the sierra. The fabric on the left is one of three that I bought at mimarinita. On my last visit to Valladolid - came back a week ago excited witih my purchases. Posted by Liana D. Tuesday, 13 January 2015. Walking down the hill. Posted by Liana D.

bag of threads: October 2014
http://bagofthreads.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 14 October 2014. I'm nearly done. And this is actually a considerable feat given the circumstances: my sewing machine wasn't working and I had to assemble the bag entirely by hand, and in a terrible rush! Now I just need to add some finishing touches and a few more stitches here and there:. Doesn't the bag look sweet with the drawstrings pulled? Posted by Liana D. Monday, 13 October 2014. Then I would redo the outlines and the border of side 1. Posted by Liana D. Tuesday, 7 October 2014. So, tha...

bag of threads: my 'Kutch inspired' peacock - getting on...
http://bagofthreads.blogspot.com/2015/02/my-kutch-inspiried-peacock-moving-on.html
Sunday, 8 February 2015. My 'Kutch inspired' peacock - getting on. Although I love to play with colour combinations I don't always find it easy to decide on the final colours I'll work with. This is what happened with the 'Kutch inspired' peacock I'm working on for the next workshop I'll teach, this time at La laborteca. In Madrid. I wanted it to bright, happy and colourful. But my first attempt wasn't exactly successful:. Doesn't look very serious, does it? Posted by Liana D. Hand embroidery - resources.
