Saturday, September 29, 2012. Happy weekend.I hope you all have a good one planned! Yesterday I had a day off and spent some time getting my sew on. I found a great tutorial for a sweater wrap.and I think it's been in my favorites for the better part of a year. : ). I had found this fabric in the red tag bin.I like to shop there when the red tags are 50% off. The pattern I used is fairly easy. I cannot remember how I found it, but here it is.click here. It is a free pattern. Love! Ah, the right way. ...

The Home Daybook: July 2012
http://homedaybook.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 27, 2012. Front step pots refresh. Well, I must say it sure is nice to spend a few days at home. Back in our earlier years, my husband and I (quite happy to have summers off for lots of fun) would schedule trips back to back like you wouldn't believe. We don't do that so much anymore, since it's so much freaking work with two kids.: ) So, having two trips about six days apart kicked our butts a bit and I've been a bit of a sloth, just enjoying being home. Okay Well, the petunias, pictured ab...

Saturday, December 29, 2012. Clothes CPR.skirt shortening. Happy Saturday.we are waking up to a nice blanket of snow here this morning. After having so few snowfalls last year, I almost don't remember what it looks like with snow on the ground! Lately, I've been taking pieces of clothing that are a bit out of style and trying to revive them. I could always donate them to the thrift store, but I'm trying my hand a bit at making them into something else. Well, here goes. Here is where I began. At The Artsy...

Unfortunately Oh!: Map Pendants
http://unfortunatelyoh.blogspot.com/2012/04/map-pendants.html
Thursday, 19 April 2012. A while ago, my dad unearthed an old pocket diary and – since it was dated 2005 – was going to put it out for recycling. Of course, I rescued it! In the back of the diary was a set of maps, which I promptly pulled out for crafting with. (I have a thing about map crafts recently! Using sections of the maps, I put together these simple pendants. Construction is really simple and uses items easily found on eBay or in your local craft shop. Here’s a tutorial! It would make a great gi...

Artsy VaVa: Cupcake Ornaments
http://artsyvava.blogspot.com/2011/11/cupcake-ornaments.html
Saturday, November 26, 2011. I've seen quite a few cupcake ornaments on Pinterest recently. They are so easy and inexpensive to make. I used light pink ornaments that cost $5.99 for a box of 8 ornaments and I had a 40% off coupon. This made the box of ornaments $3.60 or 45 cents each. I bought baking cups at Michael's for $1.99 a pack. I can't remember how many were in a pack, but it comes out to just a few cents per ornament. For the frosting, I used Snow Tex. It cost $3.99. Sunday, November 25, 2012. I declare victory for Thanksgiving break.I hope you do, too! I noticed today that it has been a week or so since I last posted. I was fighting a bad cold/sinus infection last weekend.and it reminded me that during Thanksgiving last year, I was sick! I know you will be on pins and needles waiting to see some lovely things. ). Well, her...

The Best Dinner Rolls (from scratch) | Mom Photographer
https://momphotographer.wordpress.com/2011/12/02/the-best-dinner-rolls-from-scratch
My favorite Link-up parties. 365 1 Self-Portrait Project. How to take Self-Portraits. Buns / Dinner Rolls. The Best Dinner Rolls (from scratch). December 2, 2011. For this recipe I didn’t even use a mixer. I did everything with my hands. I was too anxious to finally taste them that I didn’t want to deal with assembling the mixer. Without butter on top. I used only half of the original recipe and I ended up with 13 rolls. 1 cup whole milk. 1/4 cup sugar 2 tsp to “feed” the yeast. 2 3/4 Tbsp unsalted butter.
