A Day in the Life of a Would-Be Bambi. Tuesday, May 11, 2010. A little randomness never hurt anyone. And it's a good thing too because I'm at work so I'm sure the post will be a little disjointed anyway. Speaking of disjointed, have you read Barb'. S post yet about poor little Chili? Go read. I'll wait. Oh, speaking of waiting, I guess I should tell you that today's post is due in part to the awesome Keeley. Go see her and link up dammit. And don't forget to read her too, she's funny as hell. The games s...

Jennifer @Home: Being Loved
http://jenniferathome.typepad.com/my_weblog/2015/05/being-loved.html
Laquo; Letting our Alleluias rise. Love's call ». May 30, 2015. Sitting at evenfall on my front step, I become aware, as for the first time (is this the first time? That the achingly beautiful creation surrounding me is not only created by God, not only full of fellow creatures, but that these creatures pour Gods love back out into the creation and even to me. God is actively loving me, and all of Gods creatures, through them. Every atom zings the love of God offered through creation. By the greying sky.

March 26, 2016. I have something to confess: I have had a tenuous relationship with Lent, and most especially with Good Friday, ever since my son died. I realize now I might have been short-sighted about what Lent can be, what it can mean, but I am choosing to be honest here. I did what I could at the time.). That feeling- having had enough of Lent forever- has been my mode for years. And how long has it been? Jacob would be 16 now. Now the green blade riseth from the buried grain. Posted at 08:49 AM.

Jennifer @Home: May the circle be unbroken

Laquo; Falling for Kita, part 2: good sun and good friends. Falling for Kita, part 3 ». November 02, 2013. May the circle be unbroken. Eve helped me plant more pansies, prune roses and trim back ivy today. With the leavings we decided to make a wreath. First, we braided the ivy. Then, formed it into a circle. And then we added choice bits from the garden - dried seed pods and fresh zinnias. Posted at 07:11 PM. This is only a preview. Your comment has not yet been posted. Having trouble reading this image?

Jennifer @Home: Those whom we love and see no longer
http://jenniferathome.typepad.com/my_weblog/2014/11/those-whom-we-love-and-see-no-longer.html
Braless and Otherwise Uncontained ». November 02, 2014. Those whom we love and see no longer. Halloween, and we were in the evening whirl of preparations. I ran to the car to help Eve find some last piece for her costume, and while sitting in the front seat, I was struck forcefully by the memory of Jacobs plans to trick-or-treat as bunny rabbit. He had been hopping around our house, saying bunny rabbit! In his sweet little toddler voice. My mom had begun making the costume. Posted at 07:07 AM. Name and e...

A Day in the Life of a Would-Be Bambi: January 2010
http://rxbambi.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
A Day in the Life of a Would-Be Bambi. Thursday, January 28, 2010. It's Happy Hour Friday once again and I'm not even late. That's enough to make you happy, isn't it? But just wait, there's so much more. I'm happy that good ol' slasher Norm. Just a basement afterall. So, right now it's a disaster down there and we can't even go down there to watch tv, but hopefully it'll be done soon. I'm happy that one of those rooms down there will be my new craft room! I am so excited (can you tell? Umm, I'm sure I ha...

A Day in the Life of a Would-Be Bambi: April 2010
http://rxbambi.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
A Day in the Life of a Would-Be Bambi. Tuesday, April 27, 2010. Contrary to Popular Belief. I have not fallen off the planet. I haven't been in a horrible accident and lost all my limbs. I haven't been abducted by aliens. I haven't been hacked to pieces by Slasher Norm. A silly little country girl named Ali. A glamorous star named Gretchen. A goofy old couple named Otie. My sea-worthy captain was none other than CBT. And his helper was Coffeypot. I actually gained a follower! Thursday, April 1, 2010.

Jennifer @Home: Gravity (or, returning to the routine)
http://jenniferathome.typepad.com/my_weblog/2015/01/gravity-or-returning-to-the-routine.html
Laquo; Braless and Otherwise Uncontained. Letting our Alleluias rise ». January 04, 2015. Gravity (or, returning to the routine). Today, the house is a mess. . After yesterdays Sabbath and its mere 24 hours of not-keeping-it-up, today dawns with an insistent focus on cleaning and organizing - or at least I feel it should - at odds with the reality in which I am actually very sleepy. . On winter break, we have too much (or just enough? Edited, from my art journal, January 4, 2015]. Posted at 09:49 PM.

Jennifer @Home: Love's call
http://jenniferathome.typepad.com/my_weblog/2015/06/loves-call.html
Laquo; Being Loved. June 12, 2015. This is being in love- with earth and with God who made all in such tender delight, who cares even for the sparrow, the bee, the algal cell. Love, then, is the substance and the sound, the being and the network and the spirit that enlivens all things. This love is the life into which God calls each and all. I think I understand what the psalmist felt when he said "such knowledge is too wonderful for me; I cannot attain to it." Indeed! Posted at 12:45 AM. Please enter a ...
