Thursday, February 16, 2012. Like mother like daughter. Me and Opal in our matching scarves I knit for us over Christmas. Saturday, February 11, 2012. Opal has been waking up at 6 am.at the latest. The good that comes of that is I get to go on a run without the stroller because Jon is still home. In fact, very often Jon will come with Opal in the stroller. Sunday, August 7, 2011. San Francisco Marathon 2011. I never thought this day would actually come. We've been training for this marathon since Opal was 6 weeks old. The race started around 5:30 am.which sucked, but it was cool to see the city with its lights and the sun slowly coming up. We started on Emarcadero at the piers right in front of the Ferry Building. Wednesday, September 19, 2012. This summer we took some time off and went to the Uintas with my family and camped. Opal LOVES camping. There's dirt, and rocks, and dirt. Opal loved exploring with Zoe and Nico. Jesse happened to be wearing all brown and me all green.so we were like a tree.normal right? Opal and Nico spent a lot of their time organizing and reorganizing these clothespins my mom brought. We had a beautiful hike up to the top of Bald Mountain. Bunch of family pics. Blues From Down Here. A blog that eats like a meal. Friday, May 01, 2009. BFDH Endorses: the Mint Julep. 6 Fresh Mint Leaves. 1 Tbsp Simple Syrup. 2 oz Bourbon (Knob Creek or Jim Beam Black are great). Combine the mint and simple syrup in the bottom of the glass. Using the handle end of the spoon, gently. Muddle the leaves and simple syrup. Add the bourbon, then the top with lots of crushed. I prefer a cracker. I don't get it. The drink is only 2oz. 1tbsp of liquid? Or do you wait for the ice to melt?

Monday, October 29, 2007. Well, well, well. Kathy R. Nixon does it once again! Look at the amazing Halloween package my mom sent me this week. She sent Kylie one as well. Without fail, my mom pulls through and does her best to make us feel at home during the holidays, even when we're so far away. She is so darn talented and thoughtful. Est 12.22.06. Monday, June 18, 2012. Maybe it is just me, but Max and Liam look soooo similar (I will let you guess which 2 are Max and which 2 are Liam)! Wednesday, June 13, 2012. Life has been pretty great here since the arrival of little Liam, he is such a chill baby, which is good, because Max is quite demanding these days! The transition from one kid to two was not as bad as I thought it would be, thanks in part to such great family for all your help and support! First time in the stroller.
