Letters to Bea: "A Sure Habit of the Blood"
http://letterstobea.blogspot.com/2011/12/sure-habit-of-blood.html
I moved from Alaska to New York and I don't want Bea to forget me. Friday, December 09, 2011. A Sure Habit of the Blood". For a really long time, we spent every family vacation there. Sometimes it was just my mom, dad, brothers and me. Other times it was my grandparents, and aunt and uncle and cousins, too. From the cabin, there are a lot of interesting places to visit by car, and that's what we did. Every vacation. I've certainly let other places seep into my being. And I've been envious of people l...

Letters to Bea: March 2011
http://letterstobea.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
I moved from Alaska to New York and I don't want Bea to forget me. Wednesday, March 30, 2011. Be Like An April Day. March has been very cold. January-cold. But there are crocuses trying to push through the chilly dirt in city parks. I've been utterly addicted to costume dramas that have springtime and summer bits. I'm watching Bright Star. Tonight for the billionth time, because of the flowers and butterflies. Remember that summer when you were so small, and we had a Fourth of July party in your yard?

Letters to Bea: Loose: Reverb Day One
http://letterstobea.blogspot.com/2010/12/loose-reverb-day-one.html
I moved from Alaska to New York and I don't want Bea to forget me. Wednesday, December 01, 2010. Loose: Reverb Day One. I'm doing this thing which may end up being annoying and indulgent, but can you go along with it just for the month? It's this project called Reverb 10. And I have to write/create something according to a prompt every day for the month of December. (I'm doing this because I feel guilty about not writing the novel I was supposed to in November. PS the James Brown video is apropos of noth...

Letters to Bea: Kissing at Midnight (And Other Things That Don't Matter)
http://letterstobea.blogspot.com/2011/12/kissing-at-midnight-and-other-things.html
I moved from Alaska to New York and I don't want Bea to forget me. Sunday, December 04, 2011. Kissing at Midnight (And Other Things That Don't Matter). I just saw the preview for this movie, creatively titled "New Year's Eve." It seems to be all about how magical 12:00 am on January 1 is and how the happiness of the entire next year - actually, the rest of your LIFE - hinges on how you spend it. The problem is.I love movies like that. I mean. When Harry Met Sally is still so good. I suppose what I actually.

Letters to Bea: November 2011
http://letterstobea.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
I moved from Alaska to New York and I don't want Bea to forget me. Sunday, November 27, 2011. I've done a few things lately that I think you'd just love. Saturday evening, I went to the waterfront at Brooklyn Bridge Park with Shelley and Priya to watch a lighted boat parade. We found a huge, glassed-in carousel. Then we walked around and got bubble tea, and went to see the Muppets! Then on Sunday, I went with my friend Allie to see two more movies - My Week with Marilyn and The Artist. Next week is the f...

Letters to Bea: January 2011
http://letterstobea.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
I moved from Alaska to New York and I don't want Bea to forget me. Tuesday, January 18, 2011. This is late, but.Happy New Year! This is a picture of one of the Tiffany domes at the Chicago Cultural Center. It was gorgeous, and everyone got sort of whispery when they were underneath it. One of my New Year's resolutions is to make room in my life to let beauty do that to me just a little more often. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Other Places to Visit. Letters to Bea: December 2010
http://letterstobea.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
I moved from Alaska to New York and I don't want Bea to forget me. Monday, December 20, 2010. Reverb Day Twenty: Avoidance. It's Day 20 of the Reverb 10 project, and my last entry was on Day 3. But no apologies. I'm carrying on. Beyond Avoidance: What should you have done this year but didn’t because you were too scared, worried, unsure, busy or otherwise deterred from doing? Bonus: Will you do it? But I just couldn't seem to accomplish the easiest one on the list: roast a chicken. But I still didn't do ...

Letters to Bea: Cats Remember
http://letterstobea.blogspot.com/2011/12/cats-remember.html
I moved from Alaska to New York and I don't want Bea to forget me. Tuesday, December 06, 2011. I went to visit Kate this past weekend in D.C. Garry was there, and he gave me cat hugs. I think he remembered me! We went to the White House to see the National Christmas tree. It was oddly lumpy. There were lots of other smaller trees, too, one for each state and U.S. territory (Guam! Loved it. The tree does look lumpy. Whats up with that? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.
