Monday, June 16, 2014. After the playground, we walked to the language school we will attend. We did find it after going to their old address and having to look up the new address. Then we had some lunch, looked in some churches and walked around old town. We took the trollebus home, had pizza for dinner and then went to bed. I have pictures, but I'm in my warm bed and my camera is way over there.tomorrow. Basket full o' Plums. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Off to another place! Basket full o' Plums.

Two Sugar Plums: June 2014

Monday, June 16, 2014. Here is a picture of Mary or some other person. People have left her flowers, and the writing on the walls are prayers. Here's Jesus. He has his hands bound and he's chained to some kind of a concrete block so he can't get away. My guess is that this is a depiction of when he was whipped and beaten before crucifixion. Here is me and the girls in front of.I guess, Mary? Here's Mary close up. Basket full o' Plums. Links to this post. Basket full o' Plums. Links to this post.

Two Sugar Plums: March 2009
http://twosugarplums.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 22, 2009. The wait of a Lifetime. There are a group of people that we have something in common with that have had their dreams and plans put on hold since the date that this picture was taken. On March 15th, there are at LEAST 25 families that had their dossier logged into the Center for Adoption Affairs in China. We know that 25 people reported to the Rumor Queen. How did we get Min home so quick? Basket full o' Plums. Links to this post. Sunday, March 15, 2009. The last weekend we were ou...

Two Sugar Plums: Changsha to Sanya
http://twosugarplums.blogspot.com/2012/07/changsha-to-sanya.html
Saturday, July 7, 2012. There were only 3 seats left and they were scattered around the bus. Jorg sat in front, I sat in the middle and Min had to sit on the back bench. Laina sat on my lap. Min was not happy at all that she had to sit by herself. Oh well, she lived. Well, the girls were wiped out, they had a big day and we were all tired, so back to the hotel (again, a very nice taxi driver) and to bed. Basket full o' Plums. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Two Sugar Plums: June 2012
http://twosugarplums.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 29, 2012. By bus to FengHuang. Fenghuang is so Touristy! Worst thing: Those yucky dumplings. Blech. Oh and the smell of Cho Doufu. Cho Doufu, literally "Stinky Tofu", was one of Mao ze Dong's favorite foods, and they love to cook it around here. It really stinks like poo. The taste isn't so bad, but why would anyone want to eat food that smells like poo? Basket full o' Plums. Links to this post. 1 Utopian Residence. Saturday, March 6, 2010. Culture up the ying-yang. If it was a teacher, even better, we could share "war stories". So many times, though, the other Westerner would walk by and not even make eye contact. It was as if they were upset that there was another Westerner in the city ruining their "Asian Experience".
