We generally use double handed fly fishing rods when fly-casting and fly fishing for salmon. We can also use single handed fly rods for smaller salmon called grilse. Double handed fly casting. I am qualified to teach the following casting styles(right or left handed). Single and double Spey. Casting in windy conditions. Casting short and long lines. Casting further and shooting line. I also teach more advanced casting styles including, snake roll,circle cast, snap tee and line mending.

Welcome to saul roberts fly fishing, fly casting,stillwater and river guiding service. I am a professional game angling instructor operating in the south Wales area. In 2002 I qualified as a S.T.A.N.I.C (Salmon and Trout Association National Instructors Certificate) fly fishing and fly casting instructor in both salmon and trout disciplines.
