At 11:00 we headed down to the park for a fireworks display, put on primarily by Riley and Austin.wow! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I live in Denver, Colorado, where I teach second grade. Life of Riss: October 2008
http://life-of-rissita.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 20, 2008. So I think I have the stomach flu. I woke up about 2:30am feeling very nauseous, and was up the majority of the night. I skipped school today and just now managed to feed myself some chicken noodle soup.we'll see if I can keep it down. I have come to the conclusion that having the stomach flu is on of the worst things in this world.I hate it! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). My life is close to complete. View my complete profile.

Life of Riss: #13: Spend a day in the mountains!
http://life-of-rissita.blogspot.com/2009/07/13-spend-day-in-mountains.html
Saturday, July 4, 2009. 13: Spend a day in the mountains! Last weekend, the Cole family, minus Bryan made our way up to Copper Mountain for a great weekend of relaxing, hiking, sleeping, and fishing. We were up there for 3 days. Here are a couple fotitos from the weekend:. Once we got up hiking, there was a lot of snow. There was a whole ski run covered in a about 6 feet of snow. Here we are surprised at how much there was at the end of June. AHHHso often I love living in Colorado. 9: Picnic in the Park.

Wednesday, December 23, 2009. So we have been hoping and praying for a white christmas. This morning we woke up to 3 inches of fresh powder in Colorado Springs. We were so excited! So, how do the Coles celebrate? We go out and play in the snow, take a hike, and enjoy some good steaks. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I live in Denver, Colorado, where I teach second grade. Saturday, August 16, 2008. Hats off to a new year. I have spent the last 10 days, for anywhere from 8-10 hours a day at school. I have been setting up my room, sitting through an overall beneficial set of in-services, and planning with my grade level team! Pray for him this year. Yeah, definitely just happened. Collecting the world in small handfuls: March 2009
http://justinswallace.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Collecting the world in small handfuls. Monday, March 30, 2009. So much I could say right now. I like this blogging thing. I've just spent the past half an hour reading over previous posts, smiling at pictures from Sierra Leone, reminiscing about where I was when I wrote the different things I've written. Lots of amazing times. Lots of hard times. Lots of experiences that I'm glad I have chronicled. After the game we went for dinner and then drove back from Porto at three on Sunday morning. It was an...

Collecting the world in small handfuls: February 2009
http://justinswallace.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Collecting the world in small handfuls. Wednesday, February 25, 2009. I never knew a palm could coo. A morning's greetings to me and you. But as I walk to school each day. A tree I pass greets me this way. I've gazed among it's branches green. The source of the coos I've never seen. And so with confidence I say now. That it must be the tree, though I know not how. What do I do with a tree that sings. What do I make of it's joyous feelings. As it calls to the sun and it shouts to the sky. A few weeks ago ...
