Wednesday, March 21, 2007. I rode it a bit last week back an forth to work. Runs perfect. It's up to 5050 miles now. It was good to run some fresh gas though it. I put a new Sportster pipe on the Savage last night. It's much more quiet then the hollowed out pipe. Neighbors like quiet pipes :). The hollowed out Sportster pipe and the original Savage pipe will be included with the sale if you want them. The original pipe has a little rash on it. You can see it in the outdoor pics. The hollowed out Sportster pipe and the original Savage pipe will be included with the sale if you want them. The original pipe has a little rash on it. Friday, March 9, 2007. As you can see, it's a little dusty, it could use a bath. I believe this bike has always been stored indoors. There is no rust anywhere and the chrome and paint is excellent. I tried to take photos of any imperfections. That is a hollowed out Sportster muffler on it. It's very loud. I intend to place the stock muffler back on the bike in the next couple days. I've decided to sell Betty and keep the Vulcan. I just received the front brake master cylinder in the mail and once I install it, she's going to a new home. I rode her around a little back and forth to work once. I decided I like the Vulcan better. Betty still needs a little work and is still a little on the ugly side. Honda Cafe Racer CL350.

I can still smell Betty's exhaust as she rode off with her new owner. After putting about 50 miles one her, I found that she was under geared (only a 4 speed), too small, (had to sit on passenger seat and spread my legs) and incomplete ( still needs fine tuning and some other stuff.). I'd had fun with her, but I'm glad she's gone.

I finally got the brake caliper bracket which completes the required parts to install the rear wheel. I then put on the kick stand and dropped the lift. Smooth rolling chassis. Like that chrome speedo? At this rate, all I'll have left will be paint by the end of the week. I'm gonna try to have her ready to drive to work on Friday the 25 th.

I'm still waiting for a rear brake caliper so I can mount the rear wheel. Although, I also need to mount the rear fender too. I have been procrasinating the fender, I don't like to paint. I put the motor in tonight. Boy that thing was heavy. Though it was way heavier then the cb 350 engine, it was easier to get in. More room in the frame. Still, I recommend getting a friend or at least a spouse to help. I'm pretty sure dead lifting that thing into the frame wasn't too good for me. Honda Cafe Racer CL350.

I've probably put in 9 hours on Betty in the last 24. Who needs sleep anyway? All the electrical is ran except for the tail light and I'm still waiting for a headlight glass. The brake line I bought is too small, I'll try to get out to Butterfields. This weekend and get the right size. I'm also waiting on a chrome chain guard. Suzuki LS 650 Savage.
